There is a finance and HR middle-aged woman who loves loudly ordering people around. She thinks she is very articulate and says things like, “It’s not a responsibility-based system; it’s the concept of a responsibility-based system.” She often deliberately shows off her abilities in conversation (though, as she herself says, they’re really just average). I was helping her clean the teapot and cups, but because the order and method were different from what she wanted, and I had to go throw out some trash in the middle, she started loudly barking orders at me as if I were a servant.
The boss loves painting grand pictures and treats the company like home, as if employees are supposed to treat it like home too, going on about a warm and cozy atmosphere... when really, he just wants to dump work on you before you leave... If you submit your resignation, he lectures and berates you...
The job duties were not transparent. The listing on 104 merely said something like “assist with testing machines,” and during the interview they only mentioned testing machines and printer labels... They also did not tell me that there was no overtime pay or ask whether I could accept that. After I had been there for a month, their true attitude became clear: they said that since I was an assistant, a pile of miscellaneous tasks outside testing should naturally all belong to me... But I’m not an administrative assistant... This is a company that cannot even afford to hire an administrative assistant... When I reported overtime, that woman lectured me for ages... saying things like, “The others”—there were only three of them—“all heard during their interviews that there was no overtime pay. You must not have heard it.” What kind of logic is that...? Every interview is different; how can you generalize like that...? She said that ○○○ had just graduated, no other company wanted him, and he was grateful to come here, so he voluntarily stayed... Please... I’m not a fresh graduate, I have testing experience, and I don’t have a slave mentality, okay! Although they eventually paid me for that one hour, the woman emphasized that according to company regulations, overtime was only paid after two hours, and that they were still paying me for one hour... She made it sound as if she were granting me a favor... That woman clearly has never read the Labor Standards Act...
There are plenty more ridiculous, awful things... I’ll mention them if I remember...
