Pros

First, the position I applied for was an internal order-processing role.

There was no need to work in the field; it was all day in the office.

Cons

1. The interview process was lengthy, taking a total of three hours

(including an intelligence test, Chinese–English translation, a self-introduction in English, and a simple English conversation).

2. The starting salary was only the government-mandated minimum wage

(I don’t know whether this was because I had only one year of work experience.)

3. Assistant-level pay for work content more like that of an international trade sales representative.

Pros

The information I provided is about an overseas assignment:

The only minor advantage is the salary; compared with other companies, the airfare and leave are fairly decent.

Cons

1. Overseas assignments do not provide labor and health insurance.

2. It depends on which factory you are assigned to. Don’t go to the Vietnam factories. There are three factories in Vietnam; you will work overtime to death, with no overtime pay. I heard the Cambodia factory has more reasonable working hours, but there is still no freedom.

3. The company controls many aspects of your life. You cannot live off-site, and you cannot go out every day. It is extremely restrictive, like being locked up in prison~
