The boss is extremely stingy. The year-end bonus is less than half a month’s salary, with no bonuses for the three major holidays or any other bonuses. If the boss gives employees a single date for the three major holidays, they boast about it everywhere and claim to treat employees very well. They don’t even dare tell people that these working conditions are in the gambling industry.
There are frequent violations of the Labor Standards Act. The boss threatens employees and forbids them from reporting overtime, forces everyone to participate in employee activities, and so on. Anyone who dares not to attend an activity is dismissed. This incident even made the news—truly so thin-skinned it’s laughable.
The company is extremely chaotic internally because the boss constantly changes orders and the employee turnover rate is high. To give you an idea, out of a total staff of about 40, as many as five people may leave in a month, and three or four of those five are usually laid off or fired.
The boss’s mental state is worrying. They lose their temper and berate people almost every day, often using profanity to curse your entire family. To work at this company, you need to be able to read minds—or you can simply wait to be berated by the boss.
The workload means one person is used as three, and employees are treated as highly disposable. During the nine-hour workday, including lunch, you must be on call at all times to answer the boss’s calls. Even if you are halfway through using the bathroom, you have to answer. If you miss the boss’s call, you can expect to be greeted with profanity.
Conclusion: Unless you are a masochist or completely desperate, don’t come here. You will regret it.

1. The pace of work here is extremely fast, especially when dealing with the emotions of senior management. The boss’s moods fluctuate considerably and can sometimes change very suddenly, so you need to mentally prepare yourself before coming to work each day.
2. One person often has to take on multiple roles, with rapid shifts between responsibilities. However, when it comes to resources and support, promises are sometimes difficult to put into practice. More often, it feels like being shown a “grand vision” that is difficult to realize, while the parts that actually reach the execution stage are fairly limited.
3. Professional expertise is not always fully respected here. Sometimes you may face instructions that are unreasonable or even confusing. One moment, you may be receiving an emotional reprimand; the next, you may see him turn to another supervisor to continue expressing his dissatisfaction. Fortunately, supervisors are generally able to understand the actual situation.
4. Decisions are often made on impulse, with demands for immediate execution based on whatever comes to mind at the moment, without much consideration for existing work arrangements. However, if the outcome does not meet expectations, responsibility often does not fall on people he considers “close to him” or who “know how to please him.” Instead, he will find ways to exclude these people and shift the blame to other colleagues.
5. At times, it feels as though what truly matters is not whether the work is done well, but whether you can align with his emotions and expectations. If you can accommodate him, you may be protected even when something goes wrong; conversely, even if you work hard, you may still become the target of criticism.
6. The company emphasizes processes on the surface, but in practice, you may find that the overall system is not very logical. For example, it was surprising to learn that the requesting party must compare prices independently before handing the matter over to Procurement. This process is difficult to adapt to.
7. Viewed through the lens of ordinary workplace logic, many aspects of how things operate here seem quite unreasonable.
The colleagues are super nice and incredibly supportive. Everyone likes games and is passionate, and customer needs can genuinely be completed in an extremely short amount of time.
1. The boss is seriously messed up, greets your whole family with profanity every day, constantly humiliates and loudly threatens people—you’d think he was in the mob.
2. Every capable manager has either been maliciously dismissed or driven to resign on the spot. Those left behind are either sufficiently submissive or sufficiently skilled at flattering the lazy boss.
3. He cannot accept anyone refusing to follow his opinions or talking back. Any disagreement is met with finding a reason to fire the person directly.
4. I don’t know whether he lacks warmth at home or what, but more than one colleague has received calls from the boss after 11 p.m., asking about all sorts of pointless things.
5. Field staff are often still out working until the early hours of the morning. Paying a tiny amount of overtime makes it seem as though everything is legal and compliant.
6. A whole bunch of Labor Standards Act violations were exposed by employees and made the news, and confirmed by the labor bureau. Yet afterward, he continued to taunt them: “Go ahead and sue me if you’ve got the guts.”

1. The boss is almost completely incompetent and has no understanding of games. They spend all day nitpicking and often blame their own incompetence on the employees.
2. This company often throws things at you that you have never learned or do not know how to do, and expects you to learn them within one day and perform like a professional with 2–30 years of industry experience. If you do not do well, you will be berated as if you were completely worthless.
3. Working here is like being hired as a chef, but the boss forces you to serve dishes in the front of house, and then, if you do not carry the plates properly, asks why your cooking tastes so bad.
If you want to challenge yourself, are a bit of a masochist, enjoy being scolded, and like being made to do the work of five people on your own, you can come for an interview. When you resign, remember to send your regards to the boss’s parents.
No advantages after the New Year.
The company originally had clearly defined divisions, with more than 20 employees in QA, SA, R&D, art, HR, IT, mechanical design, and other departments.
After the New Year, the shareholders replaced the general manager. The new general manager felt that there were too many employees and that personnel costs were too high, and began pressuring people to leave.
In less than a month, the company was left with only one R&D employee, one artist, one HR employee, one administrator, and one purchasing employee—a total of five people.
Recently, the company has started hiring people at low salaries to take over. Anyone joining should be prepared to handle multiple roles.
