The IT department's technical practices are a complete mess. Management's code is basically no better than a university student's: hundreds of lines for a single feature. On top of that, communication is extremely difficult, and they are unwilling to learn new technologies. They don't even know how to use Git. If you want to coast until retirement, this might be the place for you.
Freedom to develop; as long as something gets delivered, that’s all that matters.
The company’s attitude toward IT professionalism is only at a 60-point standard. Management and technical positions are mixed together, so no matter how strong your IT skills are, your salary will always be lower than that of managers and supervisors. The company also provides no training; it only thinks of ways to deal with problems after they occur. Basically, the company’s internal IT staff have no status and must accommodate the bizarre demands of other departments. Not a single PM is from an IT background. Also, if you know one of the company’s senior executives, you can parachute straight in~
The hours are very flexible, and there aren't many particular restrictions on development. The environment is fairly decent.
The company has very little respect for IT expertise, and IT staff have little standing within the company. Senior management is also too lazy to reform. The manager is weak in IT expertise and unable to help block unreasonable development requests, so you should be mentally prepared for meteorite-style development.
If you want to develop your EQ and take it easy until retirement, this place really would suit you.
Flexible hours; basically, your supervisor won’t monitor you, as long as you submit your work.
There are no senior colleagues with an information technology background, because they have all left. If you join with a degree in information technology, you can only develop by relying on your self-learning ability.
