I worked at 土X店 for quite a long time.

The working hours, including overtime, start at 12 hours a day. They even stipulate that employees cannot clock in on holidays.

On top of that, you have to endure 8+9-style Taiwanese gangster music blasting your eardrums all day.

The work is already boring enough, and you still have to listen to this kind of trash music at an extremely high volume.

The quality of the music these immature punks listen to is truly hard to compliment.

Moreover, it seems that foreign workers are managing the Taiwanese employees there, which is pretty miserable.

Even the newly hired parachuted-in chefs leave after working there for only a short time.

There are a bunch of immature punks inside who have merely been working there longer and then put on airs.

It's truly disgusting to watch. No wonder the turnover rate is so high.

The list of drawbacks could go on for three days and three nights.

There are several different salary structures, and no matter how you calculate them, the employees always lose out.

They take shortcuts with everything at work, only saving on the small things and never spending money on employees or buying good equipment. For example, they once bought two vehicles at once for themselves to drive, but bought terrible Chinese-made machines as production tools. They refuse to buy better equipment. In short, they are extremely stingy.

There are absolutely no benefits. There are no company dinners, and you only get a boxed meal if you work past 20:30—and even then, it is not provided every time. They also deduct NT$150 from your salary every month, claiming it is for a NT$600 birthday gift or company dinners and the like, but there is less than one company dinner a year. Not to mention the year-end banquet and spring dinner—they hold them only if they feel like it. Once, they said they were going to hold a year-end banquet, but delayed it until around the Dragon Boat Festival or perhaps the Qingming Festival. It was absolutely ridiculous.

They love watching the surveillance cameras during work. The moment they see someone chatting, that person gets reprimanded.

Workdays start at 12 hours, and when some people leave on time, others make snide remarks behind their backs. You work overtime to death.

That is why the turnover rate is so high.
