Pros

Whether the pay is good depends on the individual......Personally, I think it's just average.

Cons

1 The supervisor only looks for people who "seem easy to bully," especially those in their 30s or 40s, and keeps repeating the same thing: the company is giving you a stable salary, so just do your job properly. They often brainwash you until you feel that what the supervisor says might actually make sense.

2 They often change their instructions from one day to the next: what they say today is forgotten tomorrow. When something absurd happens, they tell you to take your time learning and say there are some things you do not need to handle yet.

But when the two supervisors argue, they use you as a scapegoat. What they originally said you did not need to learn turns into: you have been here for a month already, so how can you still not know these things?

The supervisor who said you did not need to learn it denies ever saying so. Somehow, every mistake is the new employee's fault.

3 The supervisor only says every day that they are very busy. All they do is sit there inspecting finished products, yet they can constantly watch what you are doing, find whatever mistake you make, then gather everyone on the floor to scold you. They tell the owner's wife that they will train people, but in private they simply leave it to senior employees. If the training is poor, they scold you; if it is good, they claim they did it themselves. The funny thing is, if they are really so busy, why do they have time to scold people every day? The time spent scolding could have been used to get so much work done. The company cannot ship on time not because of the machines, but because of that supervisor, okay?

4 They say all kinds of miscellaneous tasks should be given to foreign workers, then say not to trust foreign workers too much. They constantly contradict themselves. Whether a foreign worker makes a mistake or someone else makes one, it is your fault. If you did not notice it or prevent it, you deserve it. No matter how many mistakes are made, it is never the supervisor's fault—it is always yours. I do not know why the company hired such an incompetent supervisor. They know a little about the equipment and act as though they are extremely capable, but they still call vendors to repair it and learn by asking questions. Then they claim they learned it all themselves. Do they really think everyone is blind and cannot see? Capable people are humble; they do not put on an arrogant act every day.

5 They do not follow the Labor Standards Act when you resign. They cling desperately to company policy and require you to train the next person before you can leave. Yet they keep saying they will personally train new employees. In the end, they only scold people every day for not training well. Fine!! If they are not going to train anyone, then when you are busy training a new employee and a machine goes into alarm, they do not help handle it. It is something that could be resolved in five minutes, but they insist on sitting at their desk watching you deal with it. Then, after you finish handling one machine with the new employee and move on to the next, they call you over to scold you: "I told you to handle it—were you just going to leave it there?" I really do not want to insult this great supervisor, but what the hell—didn't you see that I was training the new employee? Couldn't you help handle it? If shipments cannot go out on time, it is your fault, so why are you getting angry?

The most outrageous part is that while training the new employee, I held a small knife pointing toward the machine and equipment, and was called over and told, "Didn't your mother teach you that pointing things at people like that is rude?" They are seriously sick. It makes me wonder why the company would hire a lunatic as a supervisor.

This great supervisor sometimes calls people over by snapping their fingers or clapping. Yet when I merely pointed a small knife at the equipment, I was called rude.

I really do not understand this logic, or their definition of manners and etiquette. This was also the final straw that made me unable to endure it and resign.

5 They look for trouble for no reason. When someone takes the bucket used for dirty water from cleaning the machines to empty it, they seize the opportunity to pick on everyone and scold the person involved.

If I had not handled some things myself, the dirty environment and some of the foreign workers' work habits would simply be the result of that great supervisor setting a bad example.

They do not maintain good habits themselves. When they see someone else working, instead of reflecting on what they failed to do, they nitpick and make things difficult by demanding that the person do even better. It would be bad enough that they do not lead by example, but they also constantly expect others to give their lives to the company. Then, whenever something happens, they shift the blame.

6 At first they say overtime is uncommon. When they want to pressure you into it, they say things like, "You are not young anymore," or bring up the fact that you have a partner or children, using all kinds of twisted reasons to persuade and brainwash you into working overtime. But the supervisor always says they are very busy and have things to do. In the end, they go out to have fun on holidays. If other people do not work overtime, they are accused of being disloyal to the company; when the supervisor wants to go out and have fun, they say they would like to work overtime too but have something else to do.

7 The environment is poorly ventilated, and the entire building is hotter than outside. The supervisor monopolizes the electric fan. I mentioned the environmental problems as one reason for resigning, but the response was, "The supervisor is hot too." You sit beside a machine with a fan blowing on you, while everyone else runs around the factory operating machines—can that really be compared? It is simply idiotic. I merely walked past and smelled the plastic odor from the machines, and they exploded in anger.

The smell is present at the site every day, but the supervisor smells it once and starts scolding people. You can imagine how spoiled this person is. Whatever needs to be done, they expect everyone to come help them. When other people make mistakes, they tell everyone not to help and insist that the person handle it themselves, just to show the supervisor's authority. They are seriously sick, incapable, and yet love putting on an arrogant act.

The employees at this company are genuinely nice. Setting aside one supervisor who claims to be vegetarian and Buddhist but has extremely poor emotional control, the environment is actually acceptable.

The biggest cancer in the entire company is that supervisor. They probably climbed up by taking credit in front of the boss despite having no ability.

I urge anyone considering coming here to think carefully. Unless you can tolerate a lunatic trampling on your self-respect, being irrationally cursed at every day, and someone who refuses to train you but loves shifting blame, only exceptionally tough people who can endure all this should consider it.
