Pros

Working hours: 10:00–18:00

Cons

During the interview, they tell you that the guaranteed salary is NT$50,000. In reality, for the first six months, you have to close one car sale every month to receive the guaranteed NT$50,000. If you do not sell a car, you do not even receive the minimum wage required by the government—they only pay you NT$20,000 per month!

The boss is very good at making grand promises. Having confidence is fine, but he has not figured out the extent of his own management abilities. The boss’s schedule differs greatly from the company’s business hours, and employees are often still expected to handle matters on Line after work. He constantly shouts about wanting to find 85 salespeople, but among the fewer than 30 salespeople currently there, only one has stayed for half a year. The average length of service for salespeople is probably only two months. They also require salespeople to post cars they do not actually have on Facebook to sell them, and then try to get you to invite customers in before claiming that the car has been sold!

Also, the condition of the cars at the company’s premises is generally not very good, and the salespeople do not know how to sell these cars.

—————

The “lifetime warranty” advertised on the sign is limited to domestically produced cars. In addition, the purchase of or complimentary warranty must be stated in the contract for it to apply. Imported cars are covered only by an engine and transmission warranty, not a full-vehicle warranty!

—————

The boss’s meeting times are difficult to predict. Meetings almost never start or end at the scheduled times, forcing everyone to waste time waiting.

—————

The company basically does not respect the Labor Standards Act. In addition to the salespeople’s basic salary being noncompliant, the deductions for lateness and absence are even more unreasonable. They do not accept reasons for taking leave at short notice. The various leave deduction rules are as follows:

Late by up to 1 hour ➟ NT$10 per minute

More than 1 hour late ➟ NT$20 per minute

More than 2 hours late ➟ NT$2,000

Absent without leave / missing time card ➟ NT$3,000

Personal leave ➟ Apply by 8:00 p.m. the day before the leave

Sick leave ➟ Must provide a prescription or receipt on the same day; without proof, it is treated as absence without leave

Marriage leave ➟ Must provide a red wedding invitation seven days in advance

Bereavement leave ➟ Must provide a white funeral announcement
