Pros

Um? No.

Cons

It’s a PR agency, so working on events during holidays is commonplace. However, overtime cannot be exchanged for overtime pay; it is all compensated with time off in lieu. There is also no overtime pay for working overtime on weekdays. You can only register your overtime hours yourself and exchange them for compensatory leave, but you may not necessarily be able to take all the time off. Accumulating more than 20 days of compensatory leave within a year is perfectly normal.

When issues arise, the boss does not consider the employees’ perspective. The client comes first—the client is treated like a god, while employees endlessly shoulder responsibility and clean up the mess. There is a lot of work, and employees’ meal breaks are routinely irregular; it is common not to eat until three or four o’clock. Although the official schedule says you can leave on time, if you cannot finish writing a report, you have to find a way to work overtime and finish it or take it home to write. In any case, there is no overtime pay.

The company greatly exaggerates its capabilities, using an inadequate number of staff to handle workloads beyond capacity. The company’s organizational structure is basically nonexistent. In addition to their own duties, employees are exhausted from constantly providing support in multiple areas.

Pros

None.

Cons

There are two rounds of interviews. Employees are assigned to interview candidates first, and even very inexperienced employees may be assigned to conduct interviews. In the first round, there is a high chance they will ask about zodiac signs and whether you are Hakka—questions completely unrelated to the job application. As long as you come across as humble and polite, it is relatively easy to advance to the second round.

The second round may also be with a supervisor, and the owner will conduct the final round.

In the final interview, the owner will start talking at length about his company philosophy and, in the process, ask about the candidate’s career aspirations. He will say that he does not hope to make the company bigger, but hopes to provide an entrepreneurial platform (= =?), giving employees the opportunity to develop their own businesses.
