The following content concerns the motorcycle-riding field position in the Dispatch Department.
Pros:
1. Fixed working hours; no shift work.
2. The uniform shirt looks good.
3. If you do not want to interact face-to-face with people too often, this job can meet that need. Most of the working hours are spent working alone outdoors, with only occasional returns to the office near Nanjing Fuxing MRT Station.
4. Employees can rent the company’s motorcycles free of charge during their employment.
5. Moving vehicles on the road by riding or pushing them can help improve physical fitness.
6. Gifts or gift vouchers are provided during the three major holidays.
7. Colleagues in the department are easy to get along with and help one another.
Although the company introduction says it has an American-style culture, I do not feel it in this department.

1. For this position, the company does not provide a company motorcycle or company phone; employees must provide their own.
Regarding the motorcycle, the company only provides a fuel subsidy. Employees must pay for other expenses, such as replacing parts and routine maintenance. In addition, because this position requires riding around extensively, you must pay for and install a phone holder on the motorcycle’s handlebars to view map navigation.
Regarding the phone, you must keep location services and mobile data turned on at all times from the beginning to the end of your shift (an unlimited data plan is recommended). However, because of this position, you must report to work regardless of the weather (except when work is suspended due to typhoons), and prolonged exposure to wind, sun, and rain (it is recommended that you at least use a transparent ziplock bag to waterproof the phone) has a certain impact on the phone’s service life. So far, however, the company has not provided a phone-purchase subsidy.
2. Due to the requirements of the position, the safety helmets that colleagues use at work cannot conveniently be stored at the company’s various battery-swapping stations (the stations are managed by another department). As a result, employees must carry multiple safety helmets to and from work every day. (The company provides a large, dark-colored, water-repellent tote bag for the helmets. During work, it is placed on the motorcycle’s footboard; after work or during days off, it must be taken home for storage. This can be inconvenient if you have limited space at home.)

Pay attention to the supervisor whose name starts with the English letter Z.
When days off are scheduled each month, you have two days that you can request for specific dates. However, whether you can actually get those days off mainly depends on the supervisor’s mood and whether the dates conflict with those requested by colleagues (especially when the requested dates are Saturdays or Sundays).
Aside from the requested dates, employees’ schedules will occasionally include working one or two days followed by one day off, or working five or six consecutive days but being given only one day off before having to work several more days in a row.
The service area that must be covered is large. In the Greater Taipei area, for example, each person is responsible for handling work orders in at least four or five administrative districts.
It is difficult to eat, drink water, and use the restroom normally.
The HR representative had a good attitude. When asking questions, they conducted more in-depth follow-up and exploration based on the interviewee’s past experience and characteristics, focusing on the relevance of project experience to the company’s fit, leaving a good impression.
The entire second-round interview was relatively one-sided. After sitting down, I was asked to begin with a self-introduction. Later on, there seemed to be less willingness to introduce details about the company internally. They also did not first try to understand the interviewee’s background, and after I introduced my background and projects, there were not many questions they wanted to ask.
Overall, the direct supervisor gave the impression of having a traditional top-down coaching attitude. Although the company says it has a remote, American-style culture, it did not really feel that way.
- Regarding the maturity of “interface design”:
When asked how many designers the company usually has, the supervisor replied that there is usually only one. The supervisor did not seem to design according to logic, saying, “When you see a leading app launch a new design, there’s no reason not to follow it.” This kind of value system and way of expressing it may be less convincing.
