Pros

Interviewed for the sales engineer position

1. A guaranteed base salary of NT$35,000, which is pretty good

2. A guaranteed year-end bonus equivalent to one month’s salary; bonuses are paid twice a year

3. The manager who conducted the interview was very nice and down-to-earth

4. Fuel and vehicle maintenance subsidies

5. After completing one year, there are also subsidies for taxes and insurance

6. No need to clock in or out when coming to or leaving work

Cons

1. The products are commercial cooling towers, which are not very easy to become familiar with

2. You need to provide your own vehicle and laptop. Although there are subsidies, you still have to use up your own vehicle and computer

3. Although selling just 3–5 cooling towers a year earns a reasonably good bonus, they do not seem to be that easy to sell

Pros

Fixed salary adjustments, a well-established new salary system, and an annual bonus

Two days off per week

Overtime pay can be requested

Cons

1. Training is inadequate.

There is too much to learn, but too little time is given for new employees to get up to speed. Colleagues also rush through training new hires.

Moreover, some of the actual work differs from what was taught.

2. Employees must provide their own laptops.

3. Whenever someone takes leave, the person’s name and the time of the leave are announced to all colleagues via company email.

4. The workload is too heavy, and overtime is frequent.

When applying for overtime pay, employees must also provide detailed information about the overtime hours and the work performed during that time.

5. Weekly work reports are required.
