Read the community guidelinesSincere colleagues who make you feel that the company is like one big family
This is a company with an extremely high turnover rate—not because the work is complicated, and certainly not because colleagues don't get along, but primarily because of the boss. Even simple matters always have to go through layer upon layer of approval like at a large corporation. After finally discussing and reaching a conclusion, the boss will definitely send it back for revisions. Going back and forth over copy makes you feel like there is an endless amount of work.
Getting things done here has nothing to do with whether you are capable; it depends on whether you can talk yourself up as being professional and indispensable. Weekly meetings are held merely to let the boss, who rarely comes into the office, know that you are not here to swindle his money.
During the application process, they never clearly explain the job duties and responsibilities. The reason is that the turnover rate is so high—they are always recruiting new people as backups. Even after joining, you still won't know what you are supposed to do. At that point, you have to stay on your toes, because if you can't come up with anything to say in meetings, the boss will assume you are not doing any work. The boss is often dissatisfied with the work assigned to you, so you just have to wait and see when new work will be assigned!
Even if you have experience working in the skincare industry, I guarantee that you will be criticized here as being completely incompetent, to the point that you may even start doubting your own abilities.
Colleagues who have been there longer can always dump their work on their assistants, even when it is part of their own responsibilities~
The company often recruits recent graduates, taking advantage of the fact that you have no work experience and don't dare to make demands or refuse. If you come here with the spirit of overcoming every obstacle, you are guaranteed to leave yourself battered and bruised.
So stop deceiving yourself and taking this pointless detour. Unless you truly have no other job options, do not apply here.
All of my coworkers are women—very funny, playful, and fond of pranks. They’re easy to get along with, just like sisters.
The boss is an absolute mess: full of nonsense, making things up out of thin air, sowing discord, breaking promises, and all talk with no action. He says things but never follows through. He can’t stand seeing coworkers getting along harmoniously. Employees keep leaving, yet he blames it on not properly worshipping the Tudigong (Earth God). The meeting time always depends on his mood. Meetings last two hours, with the boss’s rambling taking up 85% of the time and contributing nothing. He badmouths employees behind their backs, but doesn’t dare confront you in person—he won’t say a damn thing to your face. He loves saying that he comes from technology management, shipping, brand management, LC, and so on… (Are you asking whether you were born by your mother?!) He managed ×× Online Bookstore, and claims all the automotive brand management experience as something to brag about. But now that his own company’s products aren’t selling well, he tells the products to prove themselves!!! Speechless… When you give him a report, he says there’s no need to add up the figures because he’s good at mental arithmetic!!! There are so many, many, many absurd things that I could never finish listing them… It would be fine if he didn’t support you, but he also expects you to persuade him about everything. Is he crazy? This is clearly a small company with fewer than 10 people, yet he insists on imagining it as a hundred-person enterprise, fantasizing that he’s a manager at every level of a major corporation. Every identity he claims is self-appointed. When you ask him to sign a document, he even has to discuss it with his left and right hands first to show how seriously he takes it! …I could go on forever… Sigh! To sum it up in one sentence: I quit!
The colleagues are great
A bizarre boss who acts out every dream scenario at this company—as if this were a movie or TV series. Why play the employee-around-the-boss game? He loves having employees line up for meetings with him; does that make him think he’s very popular or busy? He thinks he knows everything and loves saying he comes from XXX, so your expertise is nothing to him. He wants to steal your experience while constantly criticizing you. Most importantly, he takes no responsibility. Whenever he has to make a decision, he gets angry and says, “Don’t force me to make a decision.” When asked how many days he needs to confirm something, he just stammers. He pushes every problem onto the employees, claiming it’s because they provided information too late. Employees have to make every decision first and then report to him, only for him to reject their proposals and make himself look impressive. If you value efficiency and a sense of accomplishment at work, this company is completely unsuitable for you. He will turn your definition of a process-oriented boss upside down.
