Read the community guidelinesTeacher Wu Kuo-lun was essentially my mentor and boss! I first took his classes at Soochow University, and was later invited to join the team... Starting out at a rather half-baked beginner level, I developed fairly solid fundamentals under Teacher Wu’s guidance! I was one of the employees who joined early, back when we were still on Chang’an East Road. When a machine broke down, I even had to go to the Zhan Guo Ce server room, carry it home, and replace the hard drive myself. It was also an era when I would walk with Teacher Wu to Guanghua to pick out office computers, then call a taxi to bring them back. Later, we moved to Shandao Temple; I believe you’re all still there?
This company should be a great place for recent graduates to build and hone their fundamentals.
I resigned after working there for only a little over a year because I received an invitation for a better offer. I’m not entirely sure whether the compensation at this company could be considered very good, but at the time, it seemed quite difficult to earn NT$600,000 a year. I’m not sure what the situation is now; based on the number of companies with officially successful cases and the annual service fees, I think reaching NT$1 million would also be relatively difficult.
So it’s a very good company for honing your fundamentals, but not a place that’s suitable for staying once you’ve become more experienced and capable.
1. All the benefits that should be provided, domestic employee trips, and a year-end bonus equivalent to two months' salary are included.
2. A place to coast until retirement.
1. Quarterly targets are set, and even when you achieve them, you may still be made to feel that your performance is inadequate; you are expected to have other accomplishments as well.
2. Salary adjustments take place every 2–4 years; if someone resigns, your salary may be adjusted earlier.
3. The supervisor is extremely picky (a Virgo).
4. When you are disliked or considered to be of no use, you may be assigned difficult or undesirable tasks. Completing them is enough to get by; those who fail to complete them are usually pressured to resign.
5. Even senior employees may be laid off as a matter of course; the company simply pays compensation and considers the matter settled—unless you are part of the inner circle.
6. In the company's early days, when it was still small, everyone endured hardships together. After it grew and achieved some success, its original principles changed.
