This page collects workplace experiences, questions and discussions submitted by users. Dates shown are submission dates, not periods of employment. Individual reports do not describe the entire company.
Read the community guidelines1. Salary is better than the industry average, and benefits comply with the Labor Standards Act—everything that should be provided is there.
2. The work atmosphere is very good. Colleagues are willing to share, and the company is also willing to invest the budget in education and training.
3. The supervisors and boss are all very nice. There is quite a bit of freedom; as long as the work gets done, there generally won’t be any major problems, and overtime is rare.
1. Employee benefits could be even better (?), such as policies on whether make-up workdays are required, birthday leave, and other benefits offered by startups.
2. The relatively slow pace, which is uncommon for an agency, may not suit people with an aggressive, highly competitive work style.
3. The company needs to find ways to retain employees. It feels like the promotion and bonus systems could be made more motivating.
1. The company atmosphere is great, and the teachers and colleagues are all very friendly. Everyone is more than happy to answer any questions.
2. There is a strong culture of self-improvement. The company provides many learning resources, such as assessments for new employees, monthly training sessions, and learning subsidies.
3. The teachers are willing to give everyone room to develop, listen to suggestions, and provide praise and encouragement at appropriate times.
“將能” is a loving company that hopes you can become a better version of yourself.
As the number of employees continues to grow, the office has become a bit crowded. I look forward to moving to a larger work environment.
The only advantage is that the colleagues and supervisors are all very nice, and everyone is on the same side. Because the SEO guru needs cheap, disposable employees, the people hired are all newcomers (everyone is very young). However, to be honest, the supervisors do not have any actual authority; real power still lies with the SEO guru.
The SEO guru is skilled at building a social media presence and has many followers. They also love promoting the company extensively to create the impression that it is a happy workplace. In reality, they are extremely stingy with employees and delay paying performance bonuses (for each employee, the average half-year performance bonus of “a few thousand dollars” is also delayed and unpaid). In August 2020, bonuses for the second half of 2019 were originally scheduled to be paid, but they were ultimately not paid on schedule; the entire bonus was suppressed, and the promised salary increase also never materialized.
The SEO guru and their spouse were unwilling to hire an accountant because they did not want anyone to have direct access to the company’s accounts. Later on, there were countless occasions when they fell asleep and snored during meetings with the company and clients, or drained their phone battery while scrolling during meetings and had to borrow a charger from a client.
All I can say is that the company was in serious decline in 2020. I do not know when it will hit bottom, but the senior employees there were all preparing to leave. Although many clients signed contracts with the company because of the guru’s aura, frankly speaking, throughout 2020 the guru contributed very little to the company’s projects; it was all held together by the senior employees.
The SEO guru favors attractive women and likes to verbally tease them. Sometimes, after listening for a long time, it actually makes people uncomfortable, but no one dares to speak up.
