If you’re new and have no experience working at a department store counter (because the company assumes every store’s system is the same), it’s easy to feel overwhelmed~
As for product knowledge, the company’s full-time employees may also have just started, so they don’t have a complete understanding either. I recommend looking it up online yourself!
The company places a lot of emphasis on actively approaching people to offer samples, but you also can’t give customers an excessive amount to try. To put it plainly, the company is a bit stingy!
1. You can sample the products
2. You can meet many sales associates at the counters
3. Learn about the cultures of different department stores
1. There is sales-performance pressure (the bonuses are very small)
2. You have to pay compensation if products go missing (both the opening and closing shifts take inventory)
3. It is much like being a supermarket sampling attendant: you have to constantly invite customers to sample the various products at the counter
4. Since none of the products is particularly unique, customers make purchases solely according to their taste preferences
