Pros

1. The HR staff were kind and properly fulfilled their duties

2. The office was clean and bright

Cons

Not an exhaustive list, but the experience was rather uncomfortable:

1. I only went to the interview after HR contacted me again once the supervisor position reopened

(From the communication process, it was clear that the new HR representative had properly received the information left by the previous HR representative,

so they understood why the previous process had not continued.)

However, the supervisor seemed not to have read my résumé at all.

2. The supervisor was 40 minutes late on the day of the interview.

3. Throughout the process, they repeatedly claimed that I lacked relevant experience with Find dinning

(I have nearly 10 years of experience as a food and beverage supervisor and 5 years as a food retail supervisor)

and asked me to join at a lower level, saying they would consider adjusting the relevant supervisory staffing at the store based on my performance after the three-month probationary period.

4. I currently have other time commitments,

so the earliest I could report to work would be one day after the brand's opening.

The supervisor immediately changed their wording and said: “If that's the case, then I can only hire you as a regular sales associate to start.”

(The position I was invited back to interview for was Store Manager.)

I believe anyone familiar with the retail industry clearly understands the difference between a Store Manager and a Sales Associate.

5. The supervisor clearly had not understood my background and, based on the circumstances above, did not respect my professional expertise.

(Of course, there may also be people whom HR interviews just to meet KPIs, but at the very least, shouldn't HR explain things to the supervisor?)

6. The interval between the two interviews was not long, but the brand manager had already been replaced (it gave me the feeling that something was wrong internally at the company...)

7. The various systems and policies appeared to be not much different from when I applied previously (the incomplete aspects had not been strengthened or improved).

8. After confirming the general job responsibilities, I learned that although the company has a central kitchen, all customer-ordered gift boxes must be packaged at the store

(which could lead to issues with revenue allocation and an uneven division of labor).

Those who care about benefits and the allocation of job responsibilities may want to think carefully before proceeding.

Pros

After reading the previous reviews, I was a little worried, but after actually going for the interview, I felt it was fine. The questions asked by the interviewing manager also made a lot of sense. I think the dissatisfaction expressed by those previous employees was probably an inevitable part of the changes after being acquired by Kaolin.

Cons

I have not started working there yet, so there are no disadvantages to write about.

Pros

Pushing the sky to its own limit of endurance

Cons

Before being acquired by Gaolin, the second-generation CEO was incompetent but harmless; basically a deadweight employee incubator where you could collect a salary without doing anything, and it didn’t matter even if you made mistakes.

After being acquired by Gaolin, outsiders led insiders, and the CEO was sidelined. A group of old immortals wearing short-sleeved shirts and black suit pants pulled up to their chests, with an average age old enough to be your grandfather, instructing people on how to make luxury goods... The company installed an AED and was still rather pleased with itself—just how old are the employees, anyway? Are they afraid someone will drop dead halfway through work...

Brief review: If you’re willing to be a piece of chewing gum on the sidewalk, trampled by thousands of people, this company is a very suitable place to work.
