Pros

The boss’s mother is quite nice!

Cons

1. The only colleague is difficult to get along with. 2. The boss also isn’t very tolerant of minor mistakes by new employees. This is probably the reason for the high turnover rate!

Pros

You can work on many different projects in the industry, develop your design skills, and receive a fairly good salary. People who are good at communication and willing to challenge themselves can give it a try 💪

Cons

They are willing to hire newcomers, but you have to complete the training.

Pros

The company is located on Guanghua 1st Road. The office is on the first floor of a typical townhouse, with warm, atmospheric decor, so it should be very comfortable to work there. There are not many employees, and it feels simple and uncomplicated. This solves the office noise and cliquish gossip that I find most unbearable. The work involves typical interior design drafting, construction-site work, and supervision. I asked about the sites, and they are almost all in Kaohsiung, with few in other counties and cities, so the chances of business trips should be relatively low, which is great. The salary offered is somewhat higher than that of typical interior design companies in Kaohsiung. The boss said it depends on performance, and good performance will receive good rewards. It feels like the boss is quite willing to offer good salaries. I hope I can get the job and give it a try.

Cons

Actually, I have not been hired yet either. I am very willing to learn new things, and the boss said that because the company is small, everyone has to learn a bit of everything. This fits my thinking perfectly: when you enter the workforce, you should learn and improve, and not be afraid of taking on challenges. I hope my application goes smoothly.

Pros

The designer/boss is a very capable and creative person. The office environment is comfortable, and the location is convenient.

Cons

Although there is occasional overtime, it can be discussed in advance. Learning more makes it acceptable.

Pros

I’m Raimi, the owner of Raimi Design. During an interview with a new candidate today, the interviewee mentioned that a former colleague had come by to describe the working conditions here, so I took a closer look. I thought I should respond and also share the perspective of someone running the company.

I don’t often come into the office because I believe that as long as everyone gets the work done well, they should have freedom during the rest of their time. My mother is everyone’s mother, and she often prepares snacks for my colleagues. This is her way of showing love, and I’m grateful that my colleagues are able to accept it.

As for the way I express myself—well, I will improve. My thinking is relatively direct, and I often become immersed in the issues that need to be resolved. Once I have given instructions, I tend to mistakenly assume that my colleagues understand the situation. In the future, I will explain things further and speak more slowly until everyone understands. I shouldn’t be in such a hurry. I’m truly grateful to my former colleague for reminding me of this.

The company’s high turnover rate may be related to the way I communicate. I hope that through my efforts, we can stabilize the company’s turnover rate somewhat; otherwise, it is also a real headache for me.

Regarding the probationary period, if things are not a good fit, I do indeed communicate with the person and avoid forcing either side to continue. Because the company is small, the loss of each employee is a significant burden for both the company and the other colleagues. If it truly isn’t a good fit, it is better for everyone to part on good terms and move quickly toward the next step. I believe that each side should step up its search for a more suitable company or candidate and create a better future. I sincerely hope everyone can understand this.

Regarding overtime, there are indeed several days each week when it is currently impossible to leave promptly at 5:30 p.m. Sometimes it runs until around 5:45–6:30 p.m. I will pay more attention to this. If something doesn’t need to be handled immediately, let’s discuss it tomorrow instead~ Let’s work toward finishing at 5:30 p.m. on time. If that truly isn’t possible, I will compensate everyone as well and won’t let anyone suffer a loss.

Cons

Thank you to my former colleague for the message above. It has helped me understand my colleagues’ true feelings. Criticism leads to growth, so let’s all work hard together and hope the company continues to improve.

Pros

The work environment and location are both very good. Although the office is not large, it is comfortable. The boss looks young and has a distinctive personality. There are not many people in the company, so things are quite straightforward. The work is typical interior design: drawing plans and visiting construction sites. The salary offered is good; in Kaohsiung’s low-wage design industry, I think it’s worth giving it a try.

Cons

The boss mentioned that overtime is sometimes required, but there will be compensation. Other than that, I think everything is OK.
