I strongly do not recommend this company, unless there are no projects. Otherwise, there is no such thing as having days off—don't doubt it. If you want to rest on Saturdays or Sundays, you have to submit a leave request. Due to the nature of the industry, work is concentrated on holidays, and there is an endless amount of overtime.

That would not be so bad, except there is a senior employee inside who has no hope of promotion and takes out their frustrations on newcomers. This person thinks they are very important and loves berating inexperienced new hires. It is no exaggeration to say there is verbal abuse all day long. Working with a senior employee whose promotion prospects are hopeless makes you want to resign.

The boss's mouth is no longer so sharp. After driving away many newcomers, the boss has become much more restrained, but is still just as stingy.

Assignments to Shulin, New Taipei, are always at least ten days long. To save costs, you return to Kaohsiung for two days and can then immediately be sent out again for another ten days. More than 25 days of business travel per month is considered normal, so this is only suitable for single people.

On top of that, they give you 100 dollars as a business-trip allowance while acting as if it is something incredibly generous. What a joke—do they think people have never worked before??

The most spectacular part is that, when traveling for work, you stay inside a sheet-metal factory building—namely, their Taipei warehouse. It is terrible. The boss says they will relocate in the future. Looking forward to it.

As for the salary, what others have revealed is absolutely true. Remember this number: 1.33. Overtime is always calculated at 1.33; even if you work 100 hours of overtime, it is uniformly calculated at 1.33. As if labor laws did not matter. I do not know whether this was changed later.

A nightmarish, terrible company. Consider it carefully.

Unstable working hours, physical labor, low pay, occasional cuts to scheduled shifts. When training new employees, senior workers only worry that newcomers will damage their equipment. They keep nagging from the side and make sarcastic, hurtful remarks.

Once, there was a job at a very remote location that required a long drive and a great deal of travel time. The vehicle had a senior worker, a new employee, and the boss in it. The new employee drove for one or two hours while the boss slept. When it was the senior worker’s turn to drive on the mountain roads, the new employee was tired and also worried about getting carsick, so they slept. After waking up, the boss mocked the sleeping new employee, saying, “Look at you—sleeping and still getting paid overtime. How nice.”

If there are no recent orders and employees are organizing equipment and tidying the workplace, the boss may take out his bad mood on the employees and speak in an extremely sarcastic manner. New employees have no experience with this type of equipment at all, while the experienced technicians only have time to teach the newcomers how to use and test the equipment now. During the training, the boss also keeps worrying that his equipment will be damaged. If he is so concerned about the equipment being damaged, why didn't he hire experienced technicians in the first place? Instead, he posted that inexperienced young people are welcome to join and that they need to undergo three months of training in Kaohsiung.
