I strongly do not recommend this company, unless there are no projects. Otherwise, there is no such thing as having days off—don't doubt it. If you want to rest on Saturdays or Sundays, you have to submit a leave request. Due to the nature of the industry, work is concentrated on holidays, and there is an endless amount of overtime.
That would not be so bad, except there is a senior employee inside who has no hope of promotion and takes out their frustrations on newcomers. This person thinks they are very important and loves berating inexperienced new hires. It is no exaggeration to say there is verbal abuse all day long. Working with a senior employee whose promotion prospects are hopeless makes you want to resign.
The boss's mouth is no longer so sharp. After driving away many newcomers, the boss has become much more restrained, but is still just as stingy.
Assignments to Shulin, New Taipei, are always at least ten days long. To save costs, you return to Kaohsiung for two days and can then immediately be sent out again for another ten days. More than 25 days of business travel per month is considered normal, so this is only suitable for single people.
On top of that, they give you 100 dollars as a business-trip allowance while acting as if it is something incredibly generous. What a joke—do they think people have never worked before??
The most spectacular part is that, when traveling for work, you stay inside a sheet-metal factory building—namely, their Taipei warehouse. It is terrible. The boss says they will relocate in the future. Looking forward to it.
As for the salary, what others have revealed is absolutely true. Remember this number: 1.33. Overtime is always calculated at 1.33; even if you work 100 hours of overtime, it is uniformly calculated at 1.33. As if labor laws did not matter. I do not know whether this was changed later.
A nightmarish, terrible company. Consider it carefully.
