After being hired, the company does not provide uniforms; employees must first pay out of pocket to purchase them at a designated location (starting at NT$2,000).

The head office is in Xizhi and has an unused conference room, yet the chairman requires all employees to go to a vegetarian restaurant operated by a subsidiary of Yisheng Group—the restaurant is owned by the boss—at 6:00 p.m. as the meeting venue. Aside from business employees, who are not based at the head office, all head-office staff involved in the meeting, including secretaries, graphic designers, and administrative personnel, must be present. They must arrive one hour early, while secretaries must arrive 1.5–2 hours early. According to the chairman, this is to ensure that no one is late. Meetings are held every few days, with only dinner provided; there is no transportation allowance or overtime pay.

This is a notorious security company. When a security guard was crushed to death by a rolling shutter door, the company was only willing to pay NT$50,000 in compensation and increased it to NT$300,000 only after being ordered to do so by a judge. I briefly worked for the company as a security guard stationed at the driveway of Wenlin Yan in Tainan. Surprisingly, instead of making the salary payments by bank transfer as originally agreed by both parties, the company switched to paying by postdated checks. Most importantly, after checking, I found that all positions at the company are classified by the company as “internships” on the first day and are unpaid. The key point is that this was not disclosed when the two parties signed the documents and submitted their identification documents. Many people only discover this in their first month of receiving their pay. Most importantly, even after the matter was taken to the Labor Bureau for labor-management mediation, the company still insists that the first day is unpaid. It is a deplorable company that even leaves the committee members shaking their heads.

They sent an invitation email to a job seeker, but when the job seeker called the phone number provided, no one answered. No one responded on the staffing company’s platform either—what utter contempt for job seekers. Later, I searched on Google and discovered that it was a subsidiary of the notorious Yisheng Group!

Just look at those impressive “13 violations of the Labor Standards Act,” along with the reviews about Yisheng on Tiandeye (I’ve linked it for everyone; you can take a look: https://ppt.cc/fIsHvx). They must really be at the end of their rope; otherwise, a bunch of security companies would wipe out Chian Hsiang!
