The surrounding environment is nice.
In theory, the product’s goals and target audience should be good.
Poor compensation, no year-end bonus, no bonuses, and nothing beyond the legally required benefits.
There are few employees, yet there is internal infighting; engineers are usually the victims.
You clock in when starting work, but are on a responsibility-based system when leaving. Scheduling is terrible, and there is occasional overtime without overtime pay.
Communication is extremely poor. Messages often get stuck with certain people, leaving the implementers completely unaware, and then the implementers get blamed and harassed.
The manager is very good at shirking responsibility. Even when the problem is clearly his, he insists that it is the subordinates’ fault and tells them to clean up the mess. There isn't much to say, really...
The boss has a short temper, and staff turnover in the department is high because an incompetent manager is running it. New employees have a probationary period, and if the department manager is dissatisfied during that period, they are dismissed. They also bring in people from different companies for psychological consultations, out of fear that employees will file complaints. Simply put, it's a typical exploitative boss. There's not much else to say... Whether you want to join this company is for you to decide.
