Although I applied for a quality control and quality assurance position, I was only told upon arrival that I would first have to work as a steel machinery operator in the factory for anywhere from 1 to 3 months. I advise against wasting your time going to the interview.

I applied to be a heavy truck driver, not a strongman. You get what you pay for. You expect the driver to roll nearly 200 kg of coiled material down a ramp from the truck, then roll it from the truck to the location specified by the customer. May I ask: if you pay NT$32,000 including perfect-attendance bonus, and the coil rolls badly and crushes the driver’s foot, do you think it’s worth it? At Section 1, Zhongxing Road, Wugu District, the job is the same—rolling coils down a ramp from the truck to the customer’s home—but they pay NT$35,000 and provide safety shoes. If it were you, which one would you choose?
