I applied to be a heavy truck driver, not a strongman. You get what you pay for. You expect the driver to roll nearly 200 kg of coiled material down a ramp from the truck, then roll it from the truck to the location specified by the customer. May I ask: if you pay NT$32,000 including perfect-attendance bonus, and the coil rolls badly and crushes the driver’s foot, do you think it’s worth it? At Section 1, Zhongxing Road, Wugu District, the job is the same—rolling coils down a ramp from the truck to the customer’s home—but they pay NT$35,000 and provide safety shoes. If it were you, which one would you choose?
