Except for the top boss, the senior management generally has poor reasoning when doing things. Their rash decisions caused revenue to drop by 30%, yet they still insist on doing things their way. I’m speechless.
*The head office provides lunch or cooks meals for employees in the R&D department.
*Most colleagues are older, but they are generally nice.
*A certain unit's manager often berates subordinates until they cry. After making someone cry, the manager says, “I don't understand what you're crying about. You're putting a lot of pressure on me,” without realizing that people in the neighboring department can hear everything clearly. When berating people, the manager also says things like, “Look at me when I'm talking to you,” as if scolding a child.
*The manager of this department often drags employees from other departments into meetings, wasting their time. Although the manager should be communicating upward, they instead dump the problem on subordinates to solve. The manager also schedules fixed weekly team meetings but has very poor time management: the meetings are either postponed, rescheduled, or forgotten. Then the manager tells subordinates to remind them, making me think they need a personal secretary.
It’s very tiring, so you can sleep really well when you get home.
Managers basically cover the morning shifts. Most of the time, you either work the evening shift or a split shift, and the break between shifts is quite long. This means that on workdays you spend the entire day at the company unless you live very nearby. The number of overtime hours depends on the day’s sales. For example, if customers arrive very late in the evening and closing time is pushed back, but sales targets aren’t met, the overtime will not be reported because the report would show a loss. Also, the manager has very poor emotional control and once directly shouted profanity at a coworker in the open kitchen. There were customers with children sitting outside at the time, and they were completely stunned.
Meals provided (from the in-store menu; beef dishes cannot be ordered).
Full-time salary: It is inversely related to the store’s performance. You’re busy and constantly getting chewed out every day, yet at a store with monthly sales starting at a million, you only make a little over 29,000. You’re basically going there to be treated like a hired laborer.
Split-shift downtime: It is really long and a huge waste of time. Apart from sleeping, there’s nothing to do. You have downtime from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., and you don’t even get paid more.
Very late finishing time: 11 p.m. And there are still gatherings and such every month, so staying until the early hours of the morning is commonplace. Don’t even dream of getting a morning shift—the managers are the ones who work those.
Overall, I don’t recommend it for young people. It’s a huge waste of time and your youth: low pay, lots of work, and far from home. What a joke 😆
