Pros

I worked at the Miaoli station, and there really are no advantages to mention. Moreover, each new station manager has been worse than the last.

Cons

I worked at the Miaoli station, and there really are no advantages to mention. Moreover, each new station manager has been worse than the last.

1. If you do not have a car, you cannot take a break and can only stand outside doing nothing.

2. When staffing is sufficient, the station manager assigns shifts where an employee works the afternoon shift and then the morning shift the next day, leaving virtually insufficient rest time after work.

3. You cannot refuse being assigned to support other stations. Even if you refuse, they will deliberately make things difficult for you or continue to assign you shifts there anyway.

4. There is no transportation reimbursement for supporting other stations, including support across county or city boundaries. They do not even consider whether the employee has convenient transportation options.

5. They refuse to schedule annual leave on specific requested dates.

6. If you do not make sales, they scold you after working hours, sometimes even making personal attacks, and publicly shame you in group chats.

7. They force employees who have finished work to handle the supervisor’s personal errands.

8. There is always only one person responsible for car washing and refueling.

9. They use copying lines as a disciplinary measure.

10. They deliberately cut the hours of certain employees.

11. They deliberately require certain employees to submit written reports about their mistakes, regardless of whether the matter is subject to disciplinary action that must be reported to the company.

12. When the station manager is late and delays opening the station, they do not correct employees’ time records and instead mark employees who arrived early as late.

13. The station manager tells employees to make sales, but ultimately credits the employees’ individual sales toward the station manager’s own performance.

14. For the station manager’s own shifts, they schedule many people to work simultaneously—more than the number needed for that shift—and then take them to the stairwell to play games, leaving only one person on site to refuel vehicles while also attending to car washing.

15. They dump all the dredged sludge into the irrigation waterways of other people’s farmland instead of hiring a waste-removal service.

16. There are no breaks during working hours. The break log is merely signed for appearances; employees are not actually allowed to rest. Even taking a break depends on the supervisor—some of the better ones will cover for you, while the others are not worth mentioning.

The above consists of incidents commonly experienced by multiple employees, recorded by one of them.

The location is somewhat remote.

Going farther up leads to the garden of clever people.

Pros

(Interview and work experience) The interview was conducted by the general manager, without going through HR or the department manager. The general manager asked about some aspects of the job and mentioned that approximately 60 people had submitted résumés. The interview process was pleasant; however, the salary was not discussed at the end, nor was there any clear explanation of the career path after the management trainee position. They were looking for someone proficient in general affairs and procurement who had experience at a listed or OTC company, hoping to make improvements and transition toward hybrid and electric vehicles. I thought this was very good, forward-looking, and challenging. A few days later, I was notified that I had been successfully hired. However, what followed was an unpleasant beginning. First, I was asked to go there to discuss the salary and benefits, which meant that the day I learned about the salary was also my first day of work. I only learned the salary and signed the contract that day. During the following week, I had no IT equipment or employee number with which to handle tasks. Later, because this was a management trainee position, it affected the career of Assistant Manager Yin (male), who was above me. This assistant manager made things difficult for me in every way. During training, he even touched my thigh. Although I do not know whether it was intentional, I was indeed startled. Afterwards, perhaps because he saw that I did not react, he verbally berated me without reason that same day. Since I only received an employee number and access to the system on the day he scolded me, perhaps I had not met his expectations. However, there was really no need to berate me excessively, especially after touching my thigh. This affected my mood, so I later decided to leave. The other colleagues were all very easy to get along with and helpful. However, Assistant Manager Yin may have relied on his former experience as a regional supervisor in southern Taiwan, making him feel very comfortable with internal administrative work. He simply wanted to negotiate prices below cost, but general affairs can actually involve potentially dangerous areas, while procurement is even more likely to result in purchasing non-compliant items that then have to be bought again. I advise anyone looking for a professional manager who genuinely cares about their team to pay attention to this. In addition, procurement staff salaries are generally on the low side.

Cons

(Work experience impressions)

1. As far as I understand, procurement staff salaries are relatively low (around NT$28,000/month).

2. You need to be prepared for business trips that include overnight stays (northern, central, and southern Taiwan).

3. You can leave work on time (you do not have to work late into the night), but Assistant Manager Yin expects you to finish your tasks before leaving.

4. The people at the company are generally quite nice. The IT manager speaks relatively loudly, but only singles out people who do not follow regulations (such as the manager mentioned above). In fact, the IT staff are also quite nice.

5. The secretary under the general manager particularly likes to pick on a certain person, so after that person has been criticized, do not go to that person to ask questions, or they will take their anger out on you.

6. The company assigns employees to be on duty, and the employee on duty must clean in the morning and evening.

7. The receptionist is very nice, and the procurement staff are also good people—patient and willing to help.
