Everything depends on the store manager’s leadership style. The inventory-counting process is truly awful. If the count is wrong, it is not because the method is flawed, but because your learning ability is inadequate. New employee training is extremely poor; after three days, you are expected to have learned everything. The company refuses to acknowledge any problems with its procedures—everything is blamed on new employees for not learning well enough. Handling miscellaneous back-office tasks is considered more important. When business is poor, they blame the department store’s low customer traffic. The long-serving full-time employees are birds of a feather and never reflect on themselves; no wonder the turnover rate is so high. They have no great ambitions and only seek comfort. This job is suitable for you.
