They are extremely stingy with employees, yet have the nerve to keep saying on 104 and the company's official website how much the chairman cares about the employees. It's absolutely laughable.
They pressure employees into working unpaid overtime, saying the company won't force you to work overtime, but if you can't finish the work, you have to figure it out yourself.
If one person can't finish the work, you could say it's an individual problem. But if the entire team has to work overtime, that's the manager's incompetence.
They claim to offer seven days of welfare leave, but it is only available in the first year of employment. Then, when the company mandates a day off for make-up workdays, they deduct two days of welfare leave. This alone shows what kind of company this is. If you can't afford to provide it, don't offer it—don't pretend otherwise.
A garbage company.
I’m in the Engineering Department. During work hours, everyone is busy with their own tasks, so there is relatively little time to exchange ideas, but that’s a good thing. It helps avoid a lot of interpersonal conflict, so I think the Engineering Department being relatively quiet is actually an advantage. In addition, the company provides unlimited snacks and coffee, available at any time, which is paradise for people who get hungry easily.
The company keeps board games on the bookshelf, but I have never actually seen anyone dare to take them out and play, so I suspect that some aspects of the company culture are really just for show as public relations. The company does not truly have a “work hard, play hard” culture; in principle, it would be better to view it as having Taiwanese business culture.
The salary and benefits are decent.
If you really like this job, I recommend accepting it immediately as soon as you receive the offer call, even if you still have other interviews—turn them all down!
I was originally notified that I had been accepted, and I told them I was still interviewing elsewhere, so I would take a week to let them know whether I would report for work. At the time, they didn’t say they couldn’t hold the position. However, when they contacted me afterward, I was told there were no openings left (and they only told me after I contacted them two or three times). They also said there were currently no positions more suitable for me. I initially thought they might have found someone more suitable, but later discovered that the position was still continuously posted. I felt that I wasn’t treated with much respect.
The salary and benefits are both good.
The company is not very welcoming to new employees and provides little training. At any time, a manager may decide that you are unsuitable for the role and seek to terminate your employment, especially in the engineering department.
The starting salary is very high, and compared with other companies, this company is quite willing to hire fresh graduates. It gives young people a chance. However, it does not really respect new employees: if you are deemed suitable, you can stay; if not, then ~.
The company does not hesitate to lay people off, with being too quiet cited as a reason for dismissal. What you do before and after the interview is completely different. They also require you to achieve sales results. They originally said you would not need to engage in cold outreach and that the company would provide you with clients, but in reality, every day at work I was frantically handing out business cards everywhere and doing cold outreach. I thought I was working in direct sales or for an insurance company. They really need to think more carefully about their reasons for dismissing people.
Excellent compensation; the average salary for the same position is 5–10% higher than elsewhere. Leave benefits also exceed the requirements of the Labor Standards Act.
