Read the community guidelines1. The interview process was quite good. The HR representative was very polite, and the questions were also highly professional. If you can finish them within the allotted time, it means your fundamentals are already very solid.
2. The questions asked by the interviewers also focused on key technical points and helped you review some concepts.
3. The office was very quiet, and the engineers were all focused on their own work. The working environment was good.
1. When discussing salary and asking about the offer, HR became relatively vague and passive. They would first send a rejection notification and then inquire about room for negotiating the salary downward.
2. Pay attention to the salary structure. Many allowances and benefits are included in the total salary you negotiated, while the year-end bonus is calculated based on the base salary.
At the beginning, I was asked to fill out a test consisting of four logic puzzles, most of which were quite simple. One question asked about the biggest setback I had encountered in the past and how I resolved it. Finally, there was a question asking me to roughly draw an app wireframe on the spot, including a brief outline of how the app would operate and how it would generate revenue. The entire process took me about 30 to 40 minutes.
Next, two UI team members came in (because they did not have a designated supervisor). We mainly asked and answered questions, and the conversation was quite pleasant. They asked some standard questions, such as why I wanted to change jobs, why I applied for this position, and what my experience was like working with others. After that, someone from HR came in and explained the company’s policies and administrative procedures. I was also able to ask questions. Finally, we discussed the salary and the earliest possible start date.
HR told me that if I did not receive any notification within three weeks, it meant I had not been selected. In the end, there was indeed no further communication.
HR’s attitude was not very good. The office was very quiet, and it looked like everyone was working independently.
