Read the community guidelinesThe environment is very relaxing
At first, the company sent me an interview invitation. Since I was interested in aromatherapy, I thought I would go and give the interview a try.
I had also been unemployed for a month and wanted to get back to work as soon as possible.
The originally scheduled interview time had to be postponed because I had something to attend to, so I proactively called to inform the company. The receptionist also confirmed to me that the interviewer would still be at the store.
As soon as I arrived at the store, I was asked to fill out a large amount of information. When I finished, I took it inside, and after a long time, someone came back out and asked me to fill in what I had missed.
Throughout the process, I was dealt with by employees.
Later, they even asked me to measure my weight and body fat. After waiting for a long time, the employee who had asked me to fill out the forms came out and told me that the information would still need to be reviewed by a supervisor before I would be notified.
??????? They told me the supervisor was there, but I didn't even get to meet them for a first interview before being told to leave?
Are they discriminating against people after looking at their weight and body fat?
It really made me feel like this was workplace bullying.
I also explained that my weight had increased significantly due to health issues and that I was already working on managing it.
There was no interview or conversation with a supervisor. After looking at that information, they just told me to wait for a message?
Going there was a complete waste of time!!!!!!!
To this day, I still don't even know whether I passed or failed.
Do they just give people the silent treatment??????
At the very least, please show interviewees some respect!!!!!!!!!
It really made me angry!
The initial environment will make you feel pretty good.
Although it is a small company, it is all women, which will help you let your guard down.
In terms of company benefits, the starting salary is considered fairly decent at first:
26,000–27,000 (27,000 can only be obtained with a score of 100; otherwise, it usually starts with 26,000).
With a certification, it is 28,000–29,000 (as described above).
At the beginning, they will not ask you to take on tasks right away.
You will only be doing miscellaneous errands,
or things like “talking to the plants” (watering them), etc.
I think there are many loopholes.
Being hired after just one interview makes you wonder whether they are too short-staffed.
They wanted me to start working immediately but did not give me a contract or anything that would allow me time to think it over.
They also explained some details very quickly and did not allow me to take photos or provide any written materials.
Even for small things,
for example, what to bring next time,
they only required me to type it out and did not give the other party much time.
Moreover, they wanted me to sign a two-year contract right away.
There were also many rules, such as not being allowed to dye your hair, not being allowed to have short hair, and having to keep it long.
You were also not allowed to drink beverages, and so on.
In addition, they initially asked me what skills I had.
It inevitably made me wonder whether I would be expected to do work “outside of aromatherapy without receiving additional pay,” especially since they wanted me to sign a two-year contract immediately.
Once you were in, you could not get out.
Also, when I had questions the next day, I called immediately to ask.
The other person only said they would tell HR and have HR respond to me.
After more than a week, I still had not received any message from them.
So I called to ask about it.
They immediately sent a message saying:
“Tp&b Aromatherapy SPA HR Department Notice
Regarding your reporting for work on _ month _ day, the company currently has sufficient staff.
We are very sorry, but we are unable to hire you. We wish you luck in finding a suitable job.”
I was extremely unhappy at the time.
After all, if they regretted hiring you and could no longer accept you, they should have said so immediately, right?
How could they initially tell the other person they had been hired,
then, after the person followed up,
wait a long time before saying they were sorry but could not hire them?
It was truly awful.
Overall, if this incident had not happened, I would probably rate it as average.
But because of the issues afterward, I think it is poor.
