Pros

1. The company environment is very good/the company is large and has many subsidiaries that need to support one another

2. The boss is very nice.

3. There are three holiday gifts (requires at least one year of employment: Dragon Boat Festival—I remember it being one rice dumpling; Mid-Autumn Festival—the company’s own products or cookies; Lunar New Year—I don’t remember)

4. Birthday bonus (requires at least one year of employment)

5. Employee trips (requires at least one year of employment; any additional costs must be paid by the employee)

6. Year-end party raffle (requires at least one year of employment; prizes are drawn based on seniority. I remember that employees with less than one year of employment can draw three NT$600 red envelopes)

Cons

1. You have to clock out on time after work, but you cannot actually leave work. If you leave on time, people will say you have too much free time

2. You must clock in on time; otherwise, your pay will be deducted

3. There is no overtime pay because the job is under a duty-based system, but you also cannot take compensatory time off for overtime

4. If you purchase things for the company, you have to pay out of pocket. Later, I heard that things had improved somewhat and that you could ask your supervisor whether they could give you the money in advance, but it still depends on the supervisor’s mood

5. Although the company provides a fuel subsidy, when applying for it, you will be told that certain trips are not eligible—for example, going to another company is not allowed, and stopping by on the way home is not allowed either

6. The cleaning requirements are very strict. You may feel as though you work for a cleaning company

7. Rotating shifts on Saturdays

8. The company has various cliques, and you may be reported at any time. The turnover rate is fairly high

9. I heard that the boss’s wife has very good connections. Even reports can be settled with money

10. You have to work as event staff and organize the year-end party unless you have more than five years of seniority

Pros

Large scale

Cons

First of all~ They set up several companies to evade taxes, and also like asking employees to help post five-star Google reviews

1. At the beginning, they did not say that you had to purchase a uniform. One month after joining, they ask you to sign a document and issue a uniform; when you leave, more than ten thousand dollars will be deducted as the uniform fee

2. On the surface, you are scheduled to have two days off per week, but in practice, you are asked to work rotating shifts on Saturdays

3. When a full-time employee leaves before the end of the month, they are paid a daily wage. The calculation method is base salary divided by 30 days multiplied by the number of days worked (holidays are not counted as workdays??)

4. Employees have to pay the company's expenses (tens of thousands of dollars) upfront and then apply for reimbursement themselves. If you say you do not want to pay upfront, they will mock you by asking, “Are you really that short of money?”

Pros

The company introduction on 104 makes it seem like a large-scale organization.

Cons

The position has been open for a long time. I submitted my résumé through 104 more than a year ago but never received a response—not even a read receipt. Recently, because I wanted to change my work environment, I applied again. This time, I finally got a read receipt, and HR even called to say they would arrange an interview time after checking with the relevant people. However, after asking, there was no response for two weeks. I really don’t understand what their 104 recruitment advertisement is for. They ask people to submit résumés but don’t review them; after reviewing one and saying they would arrange an interview, they still drag it out for two weeks. I advise anyone who wants to join this company to have an enormous amount of patience!!!

Pros

1. Beautiful work environment with complete facilities.

2. NT$60 dinner subsidy for overtime work.

3. A base salary, with occasional bonuses.

4. A one-and-a-half-hour lunch break.

5. The boss is a nice person.

6. The company has established procedures.

Cons

1. Clocking out does not mean you can actually leave work.

2. A responsibility-based system; rotating weekend shifts, and you must remain on call during leave.

3. Meetings are long, but they are all just empty talk.

4. No overtime pay and no compensatory time off.

5. They are overly controlling—you cannot dye your hair (like being in middle school).

6. Supervisors and coworkers are very gossipy and form cliques.

7. There are fewer male colleagues, so you often have to do the heavy work (it is basically bullying).

8. If a coworker catches a cold, you may be scolded for affecting performance or the team’s aura. If a project cannot be secured, it is said to be your fault, and so on.

9. After every meeting, you have to write the meeting minutes. Once finished, you realize that after a three-hour meeting, you spent another two hours writing a bunch of nonsense.

10. Watch out for all kinds of emotional manipulation.
