Pros

Cons

The company has absolutely no policy for training new hires. New employees arrive without understanding the company’s product terminology or documentation rules, yet supervisors expect them to be familiar with the company’s processes and products as if they were veterans. Come on… the company should at least provide some basic training first. They provide no training at all and then blame people. On top of that, the supervisor is impatient and overly particular, doesn’t know how to get along with people, and berates others bluntly without using profanity. Oh, and there is frequent overtime. Everyone, please think it over carefully…

Cons

1. The supervisor in charge is extremely picky. Every word of English emails has to be written his way, leaving no room for initiative.

2. Working overtime until 8 or 9 p.m. is the norm, with only a meal allowance provided.

3. After working there for 10 days, I still had not been enrolled in the labor pension system at all!

4. They are always hiring, and the turnover rate is extremely high.

Pros

I wasn't hired, thankfully.

Cons

1. During the interview, you are not allowed to look up specialized mechanical terminology when translating from English into Chinese. If you do not have a background in machine tools, you definitely will not be able to write it.

2. The very first thing they did was comment that the interviewee had a very large body size. Little do they realize that the boss is old and overweight, and half of the current employees also do not have standard body types. Such blunt personal attacks would probably be even worse on a daily basis.

3. The boss follows Tibetan Buddhism and has an altar set up. The entire office is filled with amethyst crystals and hanging scrolls, making the layout very difficult to navigate.
