The pay is fairly good.

The supervisor is extremely difficult. When she likes you, she tells you that you are important; when she does not like you, she directly tells you that the company does not want you, without giving any reason, and simply wants you to leave. The funniest part is that she brought in her own affair partner to do my job. She carried on an affair to the point that even people from outside came to ask me about it, yet she shamelessly claimed that I was the one who had caused everything. This is the female supervisor at the Taoyuan warehouse, and she takes advantage of the fact that the boss will not do anything to her, so she acts like the queen of the warehouse.

Provides transportation reimbursement, snacks, cookies… Overall, it’s pretty much as described online: a beautiful environment. However, the ceiling in the work area is very low, which feels a bit oppressive.

In reality, they are very focused on appearance.

Recently, I’ve noticed that many people were forced out or laid off before the Lunar New Year (poor people losing their jobs right before the New Year).

In practice, you’re just going to work to make money, yet they keep asking over and over whether you’re happy… It feels like you have to force yourself to say that you’re enjoying it.

The company has plenty of money, and the base salary is higher than at most other companies. The bonuses are also pretty good. People who want to make money can consider coming here; for fresh graduates, it’s a good place to gain experience and save money. Those whose income is below a certain amount and whose household registration is outside the Greater Taipei area can apply for a NT$6,000 monthly housing subsidy, which is quite a lot. The coworkers tend to be younger, so there’s less pressure in getting along.

The systems feel rather chaotic and are still being built; there isn’t even a proper system in place yet. Much of the work is done on paper, which is very environmentally unfriendly. There are also many detail-oriented senior managers who care a lot about minor issues, making things less efficient to handle. It’s basically headquarters for the Appearance Association—but on the other hand, receiving an interview invitation makes you feel like your looks have been recognized.

Good base salary and a high commission and bonus system; whether you earn it depends on your ability and luck.

The company has abundant resources; whether you can and dare to make use of them depends on your ability and luck.

Convenient transportation and a beautiful office environment.

The company has a strong traditional trading-company culture and places great importance on relationships with clients and suppliers. You will be expected to invest substantial time and resources in this area, but not everyone can accept the “methods and means” involved; it depends on individual tolerance and values.

Those with sales experience are treated as immediately effective from the start and receive on-the-job training, with expectations of achieving results quickly. If you fail to produce results for a period of time, the review process becomes high-pressure. Meetings involve harsh and sarcastic criticism, making you feel that you are inadequate and incapable. There are also frequent verbal hints that you may be asked to leave, as well as actual salary deductions.

The sales department has a high turnover rate.

The company often recruits employees from well-known companies in the industry. To those attracted by the high salary: this is a high-risk, high-reward choice. If you can adapt and gain recognition, you may have the opportunity to become one of the higher earners. However, for those who cannot adapt, fail to achieve sales results, or whose experience at a trading company—at the bottom of the supply chain—is discounted, this may become an obstacle when looking for your next job or trying to return to your original field.

I don't know whether the company is good or not. However, the HR interview invitation was not very friendly. I had proactively informed them in advance that I was feeling unwell and that it might affect my interview performance, and asked to postpone the interview, but HR still insisted on proceeding as scheduled....

At the time, everything was agreed upon during the interview, and I was even sent an offer email. Then, just the day before I was supposed to start, they informed me that due to the company being affected by the economic climate, they had suddenly decided that I no longer needed to come to work...

Are they messing with people? If you are planning to interview there, be extra careful so you don't waste your time!
