Ever since outsourcing was outsourced from within to here, morality has begun to be pushed downward.

Cons

Ever since outsourcing was outsourced from within to here, morality has begun to be pushed downward.

HR Lin✠瀅 (Lynn):

It’s very simple: Company S places great importance on talent. Your way of thinking is wrong;

you should be flexible. Because the client’s requirements keep changing, that’s why the work is handed to an outsourcing provider,

so you should take on even more responsibility. That way, you’ll supposedly feel a sense of self-achievement.

Newcomer: But the work and responsibility are all dumped on the outsourced staff, and I’m the one responsible if something goes wrong?

HR Lin✠瀅 (Lynn): There’s insurance, and the company’s systems are very comprehensive.

Li✠毓 (Stanley): Remember, if the server isn’t up, first say it’s an environmental issue;

if it starts and then stops shortly afterward, generate it for the client first; even if the parameters are entered randomly, send it anyway and patch it up later.

Newcomer: Isn’t that dangerous?

Xu✠龍: Don’t ask too many questions. The veterans don’t really teach you; they just tell you what to do,

like with the old cashier system—you figure it out and guess for yourself.

They explain it once before the evaluation, and if you don’t know how, they say you lack ability.

Li✠源 (James): Follow first in, first out, and you may still be accused of putting things away randomly;

make one typo, and a supervisor can lecture you for half an hour. Compensatory leave on holidays comes without compensatory pay;

on weekdays, it’s a responsibility-based system—none of this is mentioned in the interview beforehand.

Li✠毓 (Stanley): When something goes wrong, the rookie takes the blame, and we’re safe.

It’s either that you’re not Zhuge Liang keeping your talents hidden, or you’re covered in wounds.

HR Lin✠瀅 (Lynn): Don’t overthink it; everyone grows this way.

Later, there may even be opportunities to travel to Japan and Jeju Island, and the company will organize activities too.

Newcomer: Then where is the “steak”?

Li✠毓 (Stanley): Ha, that was just talk;

what’s really waiting for you is “all-you-can-eat potstickers and a slap in the face.”

Xu✠龍: When you have time, you also have to help the supervisor take photos and admire oil paintings,

listen to a bunch of commands that sound like bird language, as if this were military studies.

Li✠源 (James): Lunch is often handled with a single piece of bread, and overtime goes until midnight.

Li✠毓 (Stanley): I see.

Li✠毓 (Stanley): Welcome aboard. The thing here most like a vampire bat

isn’t the system—it’s the people who push responsibility downward, layer by layer.

Pros

I don't know of any advantages.

Cons

I interviewed last week and may not have met the manager's expectations.

Halfway through the interview, they already displayed a disdainful attitude. Even when I asked about the details of the job, the manager gestured for HR to explain them to me, but HR only glossed over them. Another manager didn't say a single word from the moment they came in until the end, and also maintained an attitude of “Why are you wasting my time?”

Hello, if I'm not a good fit, just tell me directly. Don't humiliate me with your attitude, okay?

Pros

There are many idle people at the company. During work hours, they chat everywhere, make tea, and go out for walks (including supervisors).

Cons

The pay is low, there are lots of miscellaneous tasks, there are many idle people at the company, the supervisors are useless, and there are many cliques. Long-term employees with over 20 years of experience form cliques and bully people.

Whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of becoming an administrative assistant at the head office.

Pros

A year-end bonus of two months’ salary; salary discussions can be based on annual income.

Cons

I applied for a general affairs position. The interview was conducted directly by the department manager, with another person beside them who was presumably the HR manager. The interview was mostly just casual conversation. However, a week later, I emailed to ask whether there would be a second interview or whether I had already been notified about one, but I received no response at all. Even if I wasn’t selected, they should generally reply when asked, right? I also got the impression that people at this company only do what falls within their own responsibilities. When I arrived for the interview that day and stood outside the entrance, an employee entered the access-controlled area but did not proactively ask whom I was there to see; they simply smiled silently and went inside. I also felt that the company’s office space was very cramped.

Position interviewed for: Programmer

Think very carefully before joining.

The first test was a 30-minute math test.

The second test was a 60-minute mathematical programming test.

A very good environment; the company conducting the interview could not be found.

Cons

The HR representative made a mistake during the interview and got the department wrong,

yet still proceeded to explain the interview to you.

After arriving at the department for the interview, they kept giving you tests. After you finished one, they asked you to take a second one. It felt like you were there to take tests, not to interview.

HR also did not inform you beforehand that there would be tests that day. The entire interview took approximately two to four hours.

Those planning to go are advised to think carefully.

Pros

1. Overall, the headquarters is a company with a good atmosphere and a decent office; at the branch, the work is quite miscellaneous and there are fewer rules and regulations.

2. Leave and other matters are the same as required by the Labor Standards Act, with no benefits beyond the legal requirements. The more distinctive benefit is probably the annual NT$8,000 subsidy for an employee trip.

3. Overtime is very common, and the company technically avoids paying overtime.

4. The company claims that its salary levels are highly competitive, but, well...

5. The year-end bonus is guaranteed to be two months’ salary; generally, it is about 3.X months.

6. Nepotism is very serious within the company, and many employees have connections.

7. Overall, it is a mediocre company—not particularly good or bad.
