Cons

I advise everyone not to waste their time interviewing. Although it claims to be in the financial industry, it is clearly trying to pay one person while expecting them to perform the functions of two. When the leadership sets a bad example, the people below can only follow suit. The benefits at financial companies are all so good—how is a small company with this kind of mindset supposed to compete with other companies?

Please, if you’ve interviewed for an engineering position at this company, share your experience. What was the strangest interview experience you’ve ever had?

Pros

Cons

1. A family-owned business, but professional managers often can't stand the Zheng family's low intelligence.

2. The entire company relies on the Investment and Bond Departments; nearly all other departments and branch offices lose money.

3. The company is full of old-timers who only collect their salaries and pretend to be busy. Newcomers see nothing but people slacking off and learn absolutely nothing useful.

If you receive an interview invitation, don't go under any circumstances; if you unfortunately join, escape quickly!!!

Pros

1. Close to the MRT station, making it convenient to get to Xinyi District

2. NT$2,500 for each of the three major holidays

3. A birthday celebration meal every month (paid for out of the monthly welfare fund deducted from employees’ salaries)

Cons

1. The company is a family business. Some people rely on their seniority and speak extremely rudely. The more senior they are, the more they tend to talk to people who do not understand things in a condescending manner.

2. The company’s internal controls and operating procedures often take a long time to navigate. There is no information left behind by the previous colleague, yet when something goes wrong, the person taking over is expected to bear the responsibility, or there is no one to ask.

3. Almost everything still goes through paper-based document approvals under a bureaucratic system, including having to handwrite an interview form during the interview.

4. I have never heard of any promotions or pay raises.

5. The company only allows employees to apply for compensatory leave, not overtime pay (it seems that a supervisor has to fill out the application, and none of my colleagues have ever applied).

6. The HR department keeps calling to pressure employees to take leave.

That’s all. Think carefully before joining. This may suit people who like bureaucratic family-business systems and do not care about career development.
