Position: Technician

Two interviews: The department supervisor introduced the work environment and job responsibilities, giving you a general overview with somewhat official-sounding language, but they seemed like a nice person!

HR interview: To make a long story short... They only asked unimportant things, like whether I was married and whether I had a partner.

They asked, “Is there anything you’d like to ask?” I asked what training programs the company offered... In the end, they said there would be a training specialist after I reported for work...

I was speechless! The onboarding procedures and basic workplace safety or labor-related training are things that should be provided anyway... Yet they went on and on about those trivial things.

After that, they kept digressing into other topics. It was an interview with basically no substance; it felt like they just wanted to find someone to chat with... Boring.

The salary is extremely low... less than 28K

A department manager sleeps until noon every day before coming to work! When you run out of annual leave, take personal leave instead... I’ve also heard that if you can’t make it to a meeting, you ask someone to open LINE for you.

A position related to charging; the interview process was confusing.

I received an interview invitation from Hua Cheng, but the actual interview was with its subsidiary, Cable, which made me feel misled.

The interview location looked like a warehouse, and there was no one at the reception desk, so I thought I had encountered a scam.

I had to fill out a lot of information on the website before the interview.

The interview included a logic test, self-introduction, company introduction, and some technical questions.

There was no response after the interview.

An old traditional industry company, with many people resting on their seniority. Traditional-minded. At meetings, you even have to stand up and sing the company song while facing the computer—a truly bizarre sight. The entire building is so old that it could use renovation, giving you the feeling of being transported back to an earlier era.

Interviewed for an ME position in the Taipei Charging Station Department. There were two interviews, and the organizational structure has only one person. The first interview was with the EE manager; their understanding of my project and professional experience was fairly normal. The second interviewer was an unidentified deputy manager from the department. They had an arrogant attitude and poor etiquette, and their questions for a senior employee sounded as if they were looking for a workplace newcomer... as if others were not needed.

The product is actually already in the field of electronic systems, involving new applications for industrial computers. However, the actual conditions are basically 12 months with no guaranteed bonus, a low year-end bonus, and R&D bonuses that are promised as a large amount ranging from several thousand to over one hundred thousand. No experienced ME with genuine system capabilities would likely want to come to a traditional-industry company like this to play around.

Whether you want to waste your time going to the interview is up to you.

Pros

The supervisor is very nice.

Cons

Remember to clarify the salary negotiation terms with HR. They unilaterally included something that was not written on the résumé in the salary approval conditions,

when it was merely a sentence mentioned by the interviewee during their self-introduction.

When discussing salary, the information between the two parties was fundamentally unequal,

harming the employee’s rights.
