After thinking it over, there’s only one advantage: the acceptance rate is extremely high.

After working there for a long time, I found that later on they hired a bunch of people from unrelated industries as managers. For example, people from the electronics industry who couldn’t make it at Company X or in County X came in and made a complete mess of things. It’s really something that people from the electronics industry can manage automobile manufacturing—and there’s more than just one or two of them. So the person downstairs was right: it’s okay not to know anything.

Taking leave is convenient (depending on the department). It doesn’t matter if your abilities are lacking—as long as you don’t make any major mistakes, you still receive annual salary increases in line with China Steel and can stay until retirement.

The supervisors and management are worse than one another. They only offer a bunch of opinions but don’t dare take responsibility, and only pick on lower-level employees. Departments fight and undermine one another. Management has no interest in running the company. It doesn’t matter if you lack ability, can’t do the work, or make a mess of things; your supervisor will ask capable employees to do the work and clean up after you. As long as you know how to curry favor with those above you, you’ll get your share of promotions and raises. Those who are capable can just work themselves to death—but you still won’t get a larger raise.
