Read the community guidelinesGood environment, and the receptionist is very pretty.
1. Waited over an hour for the manager to finish the meeting before the interview.
2. They nitpicked my résumé experience—then why ask me to come in??
3. Received a thank-you letter
The office environment is good
The company's internal culture and environment are terrible, and there is no way to realize your value. Not recommended.
The interview experience was extremely poor! Really unfriendly,
as others have shared.
This was an online video interview. Once we went online, an HR representative joined as well and explained that the hiring manager and a colleague would also join shortly (three people in total would be interviewing online together).
The manager immediately made me feel uncomfortable. She did not show proper respect during the video call, often failing to face the camera (and frequently moving out of the frame).
After I finished introducing myself, the manager began asking questions: “What events or experiences in this field of work have left the deepest impression on you?”
(Honestly, this question was very unclear and unprofessional.)
I answered with the difficulties that most people in this field would encounter…
Overall, the manager’s questions were unclear, she lacked professionalism, and she kept questioning me for not naming the correct vendors and product lines (even though I had mentioned the xxx product at the beginning).
She said: “You didn’t mention which vendors you worked with.”
She was not particularly polite when speaking either.
At that moment, I really wanted to end such an impolite interview immediately.
Moreover, halfway through my answer, it was clear from the video that she was talking to someone beside her and shaking her head.
None at all
After filling in the information, wait for over an hour
The HR staff were extremely arrogant, acting as if I owed them millions
The HR staff were extremely unfriendly throughout the entire interview process
None whatsoever; my impression was extremely negative.
The by far worst-reviewed company in my personal interview experience.
★ Interview process:
● First, you have to exchange your ID for a visitor pass with the building security guard on the first floor.
● After entering, an administrative assistant will greet you and provide standardized personnel forms for you to fill out. An HR manager will then conduct the interview.
● The interview space is not private at all; it is more like an employee cafeteria. You can see other people interviewing or other tables holding meetings. This greatly affects the quality of the interview, and after I finished filling out the forms, I had to wait a long time for the manager to arrive.
● After notifying you to come for an interview, they require you to prepare all sorts of reports (not materials presenting experience-related information! They give you very grand-sounding topics and ask you to write and submit a report), and then decide whether you are allowed to interview. I was not interviewing for a management position—I was only interviewing for a general junior specialist position.
● The opening is for a specialist position, but you have to interview three times! You even have to interview with the chairman!
● From the chief human resources officer to the chairman, they all have an extremely condescending and arrogant attitude. They do not seem to consider what kind of high salary they are offering. In addition, this company places great emphasis on employees’ output. The CHRO said that if your output does not meet expectations, the company will regard you as a burden, and you may be “FIRE’d.”
● The chairman said that he had studied abroad from a young age, and while looking through my information, commented that my English needed improvement. The most amusing part was that he even mispronounced the interviewee’s English name, haha.
● After the interview, the chairman simply said, “You can leave now.” No one will see you out; they will continue holding their meeting in the same place and will not even stand up. So you may want to remember the way in when you arrive, in case you get lost while leaving.
★ Conclusion and suggestions:
● This is a company backed by a Taiwan-based business group in mainland China, with the heir apparent now in control. Who knows how long it can hold out?
● The company’s HR is rather unusual; it seems they do not even know what kind of person they are looking for.
● If you do not want to have your dignity trampled on by a rich second-generation heir, think twice before going!
