Read the community guidelinesLunch is very generous, and it’s all-you-can-eat, so you can keep getting more.
There is severe infighting among employees, with daggers hidden behind smiles.
They really like to act close on the surface but stab each other in the back privately—it’s disgusting.
There is also a lot of infighting between departments. People like to report on each other and spread gossip and personal matters from other departments.
1. Employee cafeteria: I gained quite a bit of weight at Lien Tan. Although many people say the food isn't good, I think it's great... Where else can you find cake with every meal? XD A lot of my Instagram consists of lunch platter photos XD
2. Uniform: We wear white long-sleeved shirts and suit trousers to work. It feels stylish (but it's a lot of trouble).
1. Infighting between departments happens frequently. Two big shots left just during the time I was there.
2. The job title doesn't match the actual work, and the duties differ from what was described during the interview.
3. A large number of part-time staff.
4. Assigning random tasks and pulling people in to do work unrelated to their positions.
5. They like sending people out to buy things. As a part-timer, I wasn't reimbursed for gas money.... I had to absorb the costs myself.
6. Those with the assistant manager title generally can't really shoulder the responsibility.... I won't say who www They look very refined, but in the end they're no different.
7. Turnover among the purchasing staff at Lien Tan is also quite high. When I joined, such a large venue didn't even have anyone in purchasing www
8. Having such a good lunch will make you gain weight QQ (both an advantage and a disadvantage).
9. It's very important to be assigned to the right unit.
10. The situation of young girls filing petty reports is serious.... Sigh.
Pastry Kitchen
1. Learn how to cut costs
2. If you build good relationships, you can live comfortably
3. If you want to learn how to make cakes, the evening shift is better than the morning shift
1. PTs are basically general laborers: 90% washing and moving things, cutting cakes into small pieces, doing odd jobs, and standing in the buffet area to serve desserts to guests
2. The morning shift routinely pressures you to stay at least 30 minutes past your scheduled end time
3. Cake decorations generally lack aesthetic appeal. Although it is a hotel that is supposed to pursue refinement, it feels more like an ordinary cake shop
4. You rarely get to make new cakes. Eighty percent of the cakes on the buffet menu are just the same thing in a different form, and some are made by long-serving employees themselves (otherwise they would have nothing to do)
5. If those at the top set a bad example, those below will follow
There’s the employee cafeteria to eat at, though many people still complain that they don’t like the lunch XD
1. They don’t hire more staff despite being understaffed, and like to pull people in to provide support.
2. A large number of part-time workers.
3. High turnover.
4. You can see internal conflicts within less than a month, and they even occur among upper management. Basically, being a server is the simplest job here; otherwise, you’ll often get caught in the crossfire for no apparent reason.
5. When you report problems to upper management, the response is: “If you can’t finish, it’s okay—just say so. You can come in earlier or leave later, and we’ll count it as overtime and pay you for it.”
6. In short, I think it’s very important to choose the right unit to work in here.
Great
I heard the current planning... no comment........................
