The hotel has not been open for even 10 years, yet it has been run down to look like an old hotel. Profitable work is handed directly to friends and relatives. The managers lack professionalism, but that’s considered normal. They often only listen to what certain people say. Apart from catering to certain individuals, they are stingy about everything. “First, just get it done” is always on their lips; they do not strive for quality in execution and often start strongly but finish poorly.
The food and beverage general manager has extremely poor emotional intelligence and shouts every day. The hotel is treated like their own home, and their loud, abusive yelling can often be heard at the hotel check-in counter. Isn’t that embarrassing? They say what the general manager wants to hear, and whenever something goes wrong, they shift the blame first. They abuse their power to the extreme. Last month, they even called the guest services manager to the food and beverage office and berated them in front of everyone. They do not understand the boundaries of authority and are even less polite. In the end, once it was confirmed that they were in the wrong, they pretended nothing had happened…
Selfish and self-serving, with no sense of responsibility as a supervisor. The food and beverage secretaries are constantly replaced, and the restaurant managers keep leaving—it is always someone else’s fault.

It initially lacked experience in operating hotels, and the higher-ups are all connected by family ties, making promotion difficult.

Perhaps due to limited social experience, they are easily taken advantage of by colleagues who behave improperly.

3. A good manager makes the department heaven; with a bad manager, it can only be described as hell.

5. Overtime is not common for the hotel industry.

3. Some employees throw their weight around because they have a good relationship with their manager.
4. As mentioned above, being capable does not necessarily mean you will get ahead.
5. There is a lack of staff, so employees often have to do work that does not belong to their department.
