Read the community guidelines1. You can eat breakfast at work
2. If you manage upward well, you can thrive here
3. Suitable for people who are tired of marketing work and want a stable life
1. You won’t learn anything here from PM-related work.
2. The manager is constantly wary of who might try to undermine them, but their actual work ability is very poor.
3. Marketing work is outsourced to companies with connections. If you have ability or want to show your talents, run for the hills!!
4. The manager doesn’t actually know what they’re supposed to do. If you don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute to rush projects, you have to follow up closely on the progress yourself—but the credit must go to the manager.
5. Work responsibilities are poorly defined. The more capable you are, the more work you get—but if you know how to pretend to be busy, that’s another matter.
The work is stable and straightforward, the salary and benefits are fairly reasonable, and the year-end bonus is quite generous.
All of my colleagues were women. In the past, there were no publicly advertised openings; you could only get an interview if you were recommended by a counter salesperson already working at the company. Only recently have they started recruiting on job websites. Therefore, if the counter salesperson who recommends you has influence within the company, you will have a smooth path to advancement after joining. If you have no connections or are not sufficiently willing to ingratiate yourself, you may easily be overlooked or scolded, and you may often be assigned to locations with poor sales performance. Many of the colleagues are women over 50 who are quite forceful in communication. I strongly recommend approaching them with the mindset of dealing with a mother-in-law; otherwise, you may experience considerable frustration. That said, there are also some kind and approachable senior colleagues.
The company location is quite convenient.
I applied for the position of graphic design specialist, but besides graphic design, the job also includes warehouse management and marketing tasks. It sounds like a jack-of-all-trades position. The monthly salary is less than NT$30,000, and there is a probationary period.
