Pros

The owner of Plant 7 in Hsinchu Science Park maintains the environment very well, provides good meals, and the employees are friendly.

Cons

The on-site supervisor at Plant 7 has fostered several malignant tumors among the security guards. He has no intention of dealing with them, allowing the toxic workplace conditions for the security staff to become even worse.

Pros

Guolian Security has no advantages whatsoever, only a bunch of shortcomings! After staying for over a year, all I want to say is, “Please, run away quickly.” It was truly such a waste of time~

Cons

Those applying for dispatched positions at Guolian Security must read the articles here. The negative reviews here are all based on real information.

The senior management of this company really likes to say, “Heaven is watching what people do,” and also likes to tell employees to chant Buddhist scriptures. So I would like to ask: after doing so many things to bully defenseless employees, aren’t you afraid that Heaven simply does not intend to bless your company? “If the upper beam is crooked, the lower beams will be crooked” is a very fitting way to describe the hierarchy within this company. The more sycophantic your behavior and speech are, and the more glib you are, the greater your chances of getting promoted. Ideally, you should be very good at building relationships and pleasing senior management.

I would like to add: Everything above is factual, based on observations made during my time there for more than a year. The company I originally took over from was very normal and well-structured. I don’t know why it suddenly decided to sign a contract with a company like this. Perhaps turning black into white is this company’s specialty ~ It can casually bluff people ~ and deceive those who don’t know the truth!

Moreover, when the senior management of this company sees negative reviews, they get extremely thin-skinned and pressure people to delete their comments. It is really laughable—they are afraid of being discussed by others, yet they continue doing all kinds of dirty things.

I was previously an employee at one of the company’s sites in northern Taiwan and was assigned to work at the front desk of a technology company in Neihu. This company has continuously used “after one year, you can transfer to a full-time position at the technology company” as a pretext to deceive unsuspecting job seekers. Because they could not find someone who could work the morning shift, they tricked my former coworker into temporarily working mornings, telling him that they would help him switch to evening shifts later. My coworker worked there for nearly a year, but the supervisor never helped him switch to the evening shift. When my coworker asked the supervisor about it, the supervisor even said directly, “Did I ever say I would let you switch to the evening shift?”

However, when it comes to the company’s own internal hires and relatives, they can work the evening shift without having to say much. The company has now placed the owner’s daughter-in-law and niece in the vacant position, so I do not know what the point is of posting job openings on this platform. The internal situation is extremely filthy.

My former coworker was previously docked NT$1,300 by the company for taking one day of sick leave without any valid reason. When he later asked about it, the company’s senior management even said, “He could see a doctor in the morning, so why did he need to take the whole day off?” Subsequently, my former coworker’s husband reported the company’s nonsensical conduct to the Bureau of Labor Insurance, and the company’s senior management even demanded that he withdraw the report. The company’s senior management continues to use various tactics to bully my former coworker, allowing their own people to take leave freely while threatening my former coworkers and forbidding them from taking leave. The company constantly claims that it strictly follows the Labor Standards Act, but in reality it is doing things that directly conflict with the law.

A week before I resigned, they even called me specifically to say that they had already calculated payment for all of my unused annual leave and that I was not allowed to take annual leave anymore. This was the first time I had ever heard that annual leave could be handled this way without the employee’s consent. They also said that I had to collect a check for my salary for the month of resignation, and that if I wanted a bank transfer, they would have to submit some kind of application that might not even be approved. Truly, this is an unprecedented and exceptionally strange company.

Also, they deduct welfare fees every month but provide almost no benefits. They say they provide gifts for the three major holidays, but they do not actually give anything for all three holidays. Perhaps they use the employees’ welfare fees for family trips. After staying in this unstructured, nepotistic environment with a dead-sea effect until I was nearly ill, I immediately found another job and left. I am posting this comment to discourage unsuspecting job seekers from applying for this position.

Pros

Standing guard at a major tech company in Southern Taiwan Science Park feels prestigious.

Cons

The salary listed on the job bank is just for show. You stand for 12 hours a day for NT$33K (excluding labor and health insurance), while the NT$16K year-end bonus is presented as if it were a great imperial favor.

You have to pay for your own uniform, and if you don't complete a full year, you also have to compensate them for the cost of the clothing.

Before officially starting work, they will pressure you into working three days as a trainee without pay.

Pros

1. Upscale commercial offices in Xinyi District, with many foreign representative offices and companies based there. Gifts and gift money are provided during the Lunar New Year and the three major holidays.

2. The colleagues are all easy to get along with. There are no problems with senior employees bullying newcomers, and they are willing to train new employees.

3. Three rotating eight-hour shifts, with the shift changing once a week.

Cons

1. The full set of uniform and accessories costs over NT$3,000 and must be paid for by the employee. After completing six months, it is half price; it is free only after completing one year.

2. Three days of training, with a daily transportation allowance of NT$600. The probationary period is three months, with a salary of NT$32,000–33,000; from the third month onward, it is fixed at NT$35,000 with no raises unless promoted to a supervisory position with an additional allowance. The year-end bonus is one month’s salary.

3. Regardless of whether the month has 28, 29, 30, or 31 days, there are only five days off. There is no cash compensation for special leave or annual leave.

4. On weekdays, break time is one to two hours depending on the post. Duties are varied, including guarding the main gate, monitoring the driveway, handling registration and badge replacement at the service desk, controlling the entry and exit of people and vehicles, and patrolling. You also have to wear a peaked cap, which makes it easy to sweat. The overnight shift is, like holidays, spent almost entirely standing post and idling. On holidays, apart from a half-hour meal break, you are standing post almost the entire time and cannot do anything else.

5. There are many tenant organizations and personnel, so memorization takes considerable effort. In particular, when assigned to the driveway, you need to memorize the license plate numbers of foreign representatives and company bosses and help open their car doors.

6. The client places considerable importance on politeness; you must salute all senior executives of the tenant organizations when you see them. Some employees look down on security guards and have poor manners and attitudes; staying in the job long term will certainly cultivate patience and self-discipline.

7. When staffing is short, you may be asked to work four hours of overtime to provide support, but this does not happen often.
