Pros

They give you a cup of tea.

Cons

The location is extremely remote, near an industrial area, and almost impossible to reach without a scooter. The main gate is tightly closed, and you have to press the doorbell before someone will open it for you. After entering, you fill out some information and answer a few questions, and then it is over (they ask a lot of very detailed personal questions, even requiring information about your family). The whole process is extremely perfunctory. They do not explain their company benefits or the job duties. The interview ended in less than about 10 minutes. It seems they probably wanted someone with a food-related background, but that was not stated in the requirements. In any case, the company gives the impression of being quite insincere, perfunctory, and impolite when inviting people to interview.

Pros

.The company has a long history and occupies a fairly large area, but it does not have many employees.

.The receptionist was very polite and provided hot tea.

.The interviewer was very kind and courteous, and the conversation was very pleasant.

.The company, the job responsibilities, and the company’s systems and regulations were all explained in great detail, giving the candidate plenty of time during the interview to think and evaluate.

The company is in a traditional industry and has many strict rules. Whether these are disadvantages is for you to assess:

1.The interview information form requires a great deal of personal information, including religion.

2.Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break (8.5 working hours). Because the schedule must accommodate the production line, the office hours are automatically extended by half an hour.

3.Overtime only counts after 6:00 p.m.

4.The company’s clients are all large corporations, so clients often come to conduct audits, resulting in occasional overtime.

5.Being late results in the perfect-attendance bonus being deducted (three instances within five minutes).

6.There is a meal allowance, calculated separately and not included in the full salary.

7.No mention was made of bonuses for the three major holidays, but there is an annual bonus (based on individual performance) and a performance bonus (depending on the company’s results).

8.During market peak periods, business trips to Nantou are required, with return on the same day.
