Read the community guidelines1. Flexible working hours
2. The office location is quite convenient for commuting, and it is very close to MRT and bus stations
3. There are quite a lot of benefits. What HR explained was the same as what was listed on 104
4. I had previously seen other comments mentioning that there was no overtime pay. During this interview, I specifically asked HR and the supervisor about it. The company does provide overtime compensatory leave or settlement as overtime pay in accordance with the law, allowing employees to choose for themselves
1. The interview was held in a meeting room on the third floor, so there was no opportunity to see what the office was like
2. The interview took a little longer. I first had to complete an online logic test and a hands-on computer test before HR and the supervisor joined the interview
3. It depends on the status of each project. There may be opportunities to work on short-term or long-term assignments at client sites. However, the supervisor said that the clients are mainly located in Taipei City, and not every project requires on-site assignment
Very close to the MRT station
1. This is a company that has been around for nearly 20 years, but it has no SOPs for its work processes and no distinct departments. Other than HR, everyone else seems to be collectively referred to as the Business Development Department.
2. The manager was very arrogant and did not answer my questions directly, only asking about what they themselves wanted to ask. At one point, they even replied to text messages and browsed their phone right in front of me.
3. After interviewing with so many companies, this was the first time I encountered a test that had to be completed on paper.
4. The position was advertised as a Software Business Analyst, but it was actually a combination of a PM assistant, assisting with system testing, clerical work, and various coordination tasks.
5. The job responsibilities were explained very vaguely, and there were no clearly defined rules or processes for anything.
6. The meeting rooms had virtually no soundproofing. While I was taking the test, I could hear everything being discussed in the meeting next door.
7. It is a salaried position with no overtime pay.
8. The employees' seats were arranged like a library reading room, with no partitions or dividers. Whenever I looked up, I would make eye contact with the colleague across from me.
However, the company seemed proud of this unique seating arrangement, saying that it would help foster closer relationships or something like that.
9. The position was advertised as being in the software industry, but after being promoted, the title became Consultant (?)
1. Very close to the MRT station
2. Spacious and well-lit office environment
1. A few days before the interview, HR sends an online personality test and a personnel information form (I only filled in information related to the job).
2. On the day of the interview, you must first take a 35-question logic test (only the first two questions are actually logic questions; the rest are all word games),
and complete a simple programming exercise (even easier than LeetCode Easy). It takes about 40–50 minutes in total.
3. The first interview is with HR. From the conversation, I got the impression that they were looking for someone outgoing who enjoys proactively socializing, which is completely incompatible with my personality.
4. There are mandatory outdoor activities every quarter, and you may be assigned tasks that you dislike and that have nothing to do with your work.
5. HR thought that I had provided too little information on the personnel form and said that I should fill in as much as possible, even information unrelated to the job.
6. Overtime may be required (depending on the project), and you may even need to assist at a client’s site outside working hours.
7. You may need to work on-site for a week (depending on the project; locations are within the Greater Taipei area).
8. About three minutes after the interview with HR ended, a systems architect came in (why not the project manager???),
asked a few basic questions related to objects and my résumé, and then left immediately after asking everything they wanted to ask. I hadn’t even had a chance to ask about any job details... Then HR came in and said the interview was over. It felt a bit awkward = =
Good working environment
Frequently work overtime, with no overtime pay, only compensatory leave
Duty-based system; no compensatory leave for overtime on weekdays, only for overtime on holidays
Everyone at the company is very nice and always willing to help. Great!
