Read the community guidelines1. Punctual working hours
2. Very little overtime
1. During the interview, they do not tell you that you will have to clean the restrooms. You are required to clean the restrooms, with a designated cleaning area every day.
2. The person responsible for sanitation will inspect the restrooms. If they single you out, they will deliberately target you, and you will be publicly criticized.
3. The supervisors here are not very even-tempered. Sometimes they raise their voices and speak very rudely.
4. Some coworkers are unfriendly and somewhat scheming. You need to watch out for them!!
5. If the cleaning is not thorough, complaints will be made. If you do not clean, you may receive a demerit.
6. Employees are treated like servants. Having to clean the restrooms and still be targeted over it is really not okay.
7. There are supervisors here who harass coworkers. More importantly, other supervisors cover for them.
8. The work atmosphere is dull and negative. Mistakes are endlessly magnified and criticized.
9. The turnover rate is somewhat high. The main reasons people leave are excessive workloads, management problems, and so on.
10. The company benefits are somewhat poor.
The company was established fairly recently, so it feels quite new. Since the office furnishings, desks, chairs, computers, and other equipment are new, they are quite comfortable to use.
Before the interview, applicants are asked to take a math and logic test. Since the position is R&D drafting assistant, there is also a practical test: applicants are given a part drawing and asked to use SolidWorks to create a 3D model. The job posting on the employment website says that CAD and SolidWorks will be used to assist with drafting, but in practice, the work only uses SolidWorks.
Because I was not familiar with operating SolidWorks, the interviewer simply said, “Then I guess that’s it,” and ended the interview. The company did not explain the benefits or what work items I would be responsible for after joining. The applicant spent time traveling to the interview, taking the test, filling out personal information, and completing the practical test, and the interview itself took an hour and a half. Even if an applicant does not meet the qualifications, I hope the company can be a little more polite.
As an additional suggestion to applicants, be sure to familiarize yourself with SolidWorks. You can take the CAD section mentioned on the recruitment website with a grain of salt—the main software used is SolidWorks. I was unclear about the training process, so I told the interviewer that I would need some time to get up to speed. When I said that I would not be suitable if they needed someone who could contribute immediately, the interviewer simply said, “Then I guess that’s it.”
Also, regarding an assistant converting 2D drawings into 3D models, which is different from the usual process of an engineer creating a 3D file for an assistant to handle in 2D, I am somewhat puzzled: Is this position called an assistant but actually involves an engineer’s work?
The practical test was fairly demanding, since it required drawing a complete 3D model. I am also curious whether the finished drawing will ultimately be used. If so, would the intellectual property belong to the applicant or to your company?
Good environment

There were quite a few written test questions, covering logic and mathematics (foreign trade personnel also take an English translation test, but it is not difficult)
The salary is relatively low, and the bonus system is somewhat disorganized, but the company seems to be making quite a lot of money
Foreign trade personnel also have to handle domestic sales
The factory will be relocated closer to Pingtung at the end of the year, which may cause commuting problems
