You can coast toward retirement on a low salary, and everyone in the whole company slacks off together.

This company is very good at making grand promises, and when they don’t succeed, they blame others.

I have never received a full month’s worth of year-end bonus (if you don’t care about the money, then it doesn’t matter). Oh, and the bonuses are all a scam—don’t come here and get fooled. The company will just say the targets weren’t met and refuse to pay, although even if the targets are met, they still won’t pay (there’s a lot of internal maneuvering). Also, don’t expect the benefits here to be very good. But if you’re just looking for somewhere to coast until retirement, then it doesn’t matter.

If you work at a branch office, the boss doesn’t come into the office often.

The salary is very low. After deducting the NT$2,000 perfect-attendance bonus, it is only slightly higher than the minimum wage. However, when you want to be paid according to the amount of work you do, you are still expected to devote yourself wholeheartedly to the company for eight hours.

They won’t proactively tell you that the salary already includes the perfect-attendance bonus, so it’s best to ask about the salary structure yourself.

I agree with what the person below said: at least if they offered a higher salary, you would have some financial support. I eventually quit.

A certain manager is very much like a Buddha statue (just sits there without having to do anything, and needs to be carefully worshipped). It’s best to negotiate your ideal salary directly, because getting a raise after joining is extremely difficult. If you come in with a higher salary and end up suffering, at least you’ll still have the salary to support you.
