Pros

Pros cannot be left blank

Cons

We scheduled a phone interview, but they called outside the agreed-upon time...

It would be one thing if my work skills didn’t match the company’s requirements, but then they also had me find another small room to be criticized in,

I’ve never had such a bad bad bad bad bad interview experience. Don’t waste your time going to that company.

Cons

1. Right from the start, they put you through a pressure test, asking about every experience on your résumé and relentlessly probing every question until you can’t take it anymore. Then they start picking holes in your answers, while putting down your previous responses to highlight how outstanding their own company is. They never mentioned the salary.

2. They demand a great deal, expect you to work overtime long-term, and the manager is extremely pushy. During the interview, they warn you that you must share knowledge with your colleagues, and that being serious and responsible toward the company is not a merit but merely the bare minimum. You are expected to manage upward, meet an elite-force standard, and get things done both well and quickly. Doing a good job is simply what you are supposed to do; doing a poor job is your problem (and may result in dismissal). In the end, they still did not mention the salary.

3. The supervisor is constantly judging you and repeatedly emphasizes, “I’m only telling you this because it’s for your own good.” I’m curious: if you keep saying it’s for my own good, and make it sound as though listening to your criticism is some noble act, then do you actually want me to respond to your criticism or not?

4. They only arranged half of the interview appointment. This was the first time I had heard of scheduling a phone interview, and it felt as though the interviewer was too busy and did not respect the interviewee. That would have been one thing, but they ended up being half an hour late.

5. The supervisor likes people who are “easy to manage.” I suggest that anyone going for an interview should act a little more like a servant—or, as I put it, be a little more obedient.
