Fortunately, I have already escaped. It was truly a nightmare. I have never experienced such a terrible company. Before 2019, employees who took sick leave were not even given half pay; even with a hospital receipt, a full day’s pay was deducted without exception. Personal leave seemed to result in a deduction of 1.5 days’ pay (I never took personal leave; this is what I heard from other employees). The company’s rules were extremely strange. The access-control system and time clock were separate, so when arriving at work in the morning, you had to swipe both the access system and the time clock once. If you accidentally swiped the time clock while going out for work-related business during working hours, you had to submit a supplementary explanation for the abnormal swipe, explaining why you had swiped your card. If you had more than two abnormal swipes in a month, your pay would also be deducted. What kind of ridiculous rule is that? Why not configure it to record only the first swipe of the day and the last swipe when leaving work? Even accidentally swiping when going out would be recorded. When there were no orders, employees were required to use their annual leave to take time off; if they had no annual leave left, they were given unpaid leave. Starting January 1, 2019, sick leave could be taken at half pay, but a hospital medical certificate had to be attached. That requirement itself was fine, but after submitting the certificate, HR kept making things difficult. The certificate clearly stated the consultation time and diagnosis, yet because the doctor’s instructions did not include the words “one day of rest is recommended,” sick leave was denied. And if you felt unwell and developed a fever after getting off work that day, went to see a doctor, and were still feverish and not recovered the next day, you could not use the certificate from the previous evening after work to apply for sick leave. Did they hit their heads? Do they think medicine is a magic elixir that cures you after taking it for one night? Does this mean employees have to endure it until the next day and then see a doctor in order to take sick leave? HR made it extremely difficult to apply for overtime pay and obstructed applications in every possible way. The overtime multiplier for working on holidays also did not comply with the Labor Standards Act. Absolutely outrageous~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is absolutely nothing good to say.
You’d be better off not finding a job than coming here. The environment and culture are extremely old-fashioned and traditional, and there are all kinds of legal violations; they completely disregard labor laws. They are extremely harsh toward employees, making it difficult even to take sick leave, while the working hours are excessively long. They provide employees with absolutely no benefits and only punish employees and fine them. There is someone extremely narrow-minded who controls all of the company’s rules. They even have the nerve to say that companies outside are all like this—what a frog in a well. I’ve never seen a company with benefits this terrible.

If you haven't submitted your resume yet, don't bother going. You'll only be wasting your own time.
Although they follow the Labor Standards Act, employees still get taken advantage of by some policies.
