One of the increasingly rare brands among coffee shops in storefronts XD. Prepare to earn low pay and be bombarded relentlessly by HR during the interview!

Pros

Easy to get along with colleagues

Cons

1. Insufficient training for management

They have the position but not the ability. Supervisors’ responsibilities are even assigned to part-time and newly hired employees—what a joke. There’s no discipline.

The company doesn’t provide meals, but you can secretly eat; it’s a secret everyone knows. Following the rules is for idiots.

Although the boss sometimes publicly expresses support for employees, there is little of it in practice. Basically, you only get help if you cry for it.

2. Salary

New hire salary structure: 20,200 base salary + 1,800 meal allowance + 1,000 perfect-attendance bonus + 2,000 transportation allowance

Pass the exam after three months: +500 (they may not necessarily let you take the exam after three months)

Position allowance/bonus of 1XXX, which you may not even receive

Overtime pay is calculated based on the base salary, so the hourly rate is lower than that of part-time employees. Even the part-time employees feel sorry for full-time staff.

Cons

1. Constant overtime, making it impossible to schedule regular days off. When I became a full-time employee, it was agreed that there would be nine days off per month, but in reality only seven days off were allowed, with total working hours including overtime reaching nearly 200 hours. The employment contract states that the workweek is 40 hours and that overtime requires written consent, but the company always schedules shifts first, and employees only find out afterward that they are required to work overtime. Employees are not given the number of days off they are entitled to, yet the company acts as if it is only natural that there are not enough people, expecting full-time employees to work overtime to cover the shortages.

2. There is no overtime pay for additional overtime work. Morning-shift employees must finish all their tasks before they can leave and are not allowed to leave work for the evening shift. The additional hours are considered to be the employee’s own failure to finish their work, so there is no overtime pay.

3. Additional deductions are made for national health insurance and welfare funds, and although the company says there are bonuses for the three major holidays and birthday bonuses, I never received them. There was also no exam-based salary adjustment after completing three months. Employees are expected to meet all performance targets, but performance bonuses are only available after attending classes and passing an exam.

4. The company is very stingy with employees. Employees are limited to one medium-sized drink, preferably consumed on-site rather than taken away in the company’s cups. The employee discount is 20% off, but the company offers customers a second drink at half price two days a week, which is cheaper than the employee price. At the employee market, employees can only buy large boxes of instant coffee; gift boxes of egg rolls and specialty coffee beans are not discounted at all.

5. The company makes resigning difficult. It says that because the schedule has already been arranged, part-time employees must give two weeks’ notice and full-time employees must give one month’s notice, otherwise they are deemed irresponsible. Yet the company leaves messages on read for several days and then says that the resignation approval paperwork has not been processed.
