Read the community guidelinesThe main work of a legal researcher is organizing judgments and preparing summaries. Although the issues in the judgments may not always be helpful for the bar exam, one can still absorb considerable legal knowledge. It is also an excellent opportunity to develop writing skills. This role is suitable for graduate students/current students seeking in-depth learning, as well as those aspiring to pursue academic work.
Several years ago, I worked as a part-time legal researcher. Due to the January 2023 recruitment controversy, I had concerns about the company’s personnel management practices and specifically checked my own labor insurance enrollment records. I was extremely surprised by what I found, and I am also considering making further inquiries with the labor department in the near future.
After reviewing several of the previous comments, I can only suggest that anyone currently or formerly employed by this company go to the Bureau of Labor Insurance website and check their labor insurance and employment insurance enrollment records online. In addition, before an interview, job seekers can also check the list of labor-law violations and penalties to see whether the company they intend to apply to has any record of being penalized for violating labor regulations.
I hope that companies whose business is based on the law will also pay closer attention to regulatory compliance and avoid crossing the line. If they cannot even fulfill their basic responsibilities and obligations, even excellent bonuses and benefits will still leave job seekers disheartened. All of the matters mentioned above are supported by evidence and are by no means untrue.

Legal assistant starting salary of 28K, “and there’s also a 600 NTD application fee”—netizens explode! The CEO personally enters the fray and provokes public outrage again
A recruitment notice from the Facebook page “Legal Works” recently sparked heated discussion among netizens. The notice stated that it was recruiting for positions including legal research assistant, legal research specialist, and senior legal research specialist. However, since the starting salaries were 28K, 36K, and 42K respectively, the interview requirements—besides the basics of submitting a résumé and taking an exam—most astonishingly also included a 600 NTD application fee! These conditions left many netizens stunned. After the CEO responded to accusations of “cyberbullying” and explained the reason for the fee, public outrage erupted once again.

Good location. The office environment is new. The secretary is friendly.
1. The salary for those with a lawyer’s license is only 25–33K (shocking)—the lowest lawyer’s salary I’ve heard of anywhere in Taiwan. I was stunned…
2. During the interview, the boss kept talking about how extensive his connections were and how much money he could make, then relentlessly promoted how useful the website was. It felt like they were pushing people to spend money buying points to use the website. Of course, the job also involved helping promote it to legal professionals around you, which felt a bit like a legal multi-level marketing convention.
3. I heard there was no labor or health insurance, and that you had to negotiate it with the boss yourself, so I left immediately.
