Pros

The colleagues are easy to get along with. That is the only advantage.

Cons

For those who are considering joining this company or interviewing here:

This company uses drawing software versions that are several decades old. Some drawings are also sent to external contractors to prepare, so... the floor plans and construction drawings are bound to have serious problems.

There are many problems at the project sites every time: colors have not been confirmed, dimensions have not been confirmed, and the work is seriously delayed. The company comes up with all kinds of excuses to explain things to clients and will never admit that the problems are its own fault.

If you are a designer, you will also have to clean up the aftermath of the above-mentioned problems at the project sites. If you can accept that, then of course you can come work for this company.

During the interview, they will tell you that salary adjustments are based on individual performance. Of course, “performance” is mainly judged according to the boss’s standards. Even if you do a good job, you may still not meet the standard in the boss’s mind—because what the boss says goes.

The interviewers will also say that if you perform well, your probationary period can end early and you can receive a bonus. After the probationary period, employees are supposed to be given a form to sign indicating that they can receive the bonus. However, some employees who clearly completed their probation according to company policy were never notified by the boss to sign the form.

If you are confident that you can make the boss like you, you are welcome to join this company.

According to the company’s employees, this company delays payments to vendors. Vendors are constantly chasing the company for payment. As for why, you can figure that out yourselves.

The boss really likes giving employees lessons and holding meetings. As for the suggestions employees make, most of them are rejected. If you keep making the same suggestion, the boss will agree on the spot to let you try it, but it definitely will not be implemented.

The boss also likes telling employees what this or that person did, what they did poorly, and what problems they had. He has said this about every employee.

The boss will also say that certain vendors are very familiar and close with him, and ask employees to act cute and bargain with them for lower prices.

At employee dinners, the boss will also ask some questions involving adult topics.

The boss is also very good at bragging and likes employees to agree with what he says. If you do not respond, he will keep asking, “Don’t you think so?” The other person must respond and agree.

This company operates under a responsibility-based work system and provides no overtime pay at all. If you do not work overtime, the boss will still tell you various high-sounding principles to brainwash you into working overtime.

(Of course, you can also choose to receive overtime pay, but then there will be no bonus.)

The boss will constantly psychologically manipulate employees. He likes hiring inexperienced people and young people who have just graduated, so think about it... how high could the salary possibly be? How could it possibly be adjusted upward?

In addition, the company’s working environment is extremely poor. Every office is as messy as a warehouse; only the areas where clients sit are considered clean and tidy.

This company follows the Labor Standards Act in some respects—for example, annual leave and national holidays off. These are the only two things that comply with the Labor Standards Act. Typhoon days are unpaid because the Labor Standards Act allows employers either to pay or not pay wages on such days.

If you just want to pass the time, this company is very suitable for you.

Finally, I wish everyone success in their interviews. Analyze the interviewer’s words carefully. No matter how good what they say sounds, reality is always harsh—there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Pros

No advantages whatsoever.

The only one was that, at the time, there was a colleague with high EQ who was very supportive, full of ideas, and good at getting things done(?)

Cons

I am a former employee and would like to share some impressions from my time there (which presumably still apply today). If you are considering joining, think carefully.

1. The boss is very good at painting grand visions, places himself on too high a pedestal, and is excessively arrogant and lacks humility.

2. It would be bad enough if the boss emotionally manipulated internal employees, but he also emotionally manipulates contractors who have worked with the company for a long time. He speaks ill of company employees in front of the contractors, and speaks ill of the contractors in front of company employees.

3. The pay is pitifully low. I never received a raise during my time there. Basically, the people who continue working there are either willing to be exploited or have no other options.

4. He believes overtime pay is unnecessary. Since he spends money to hire you, you are expected to know how to do everything. If you have no experience, you are supposed to learn there, but the pay is very low. He will then bring up his own past experience as an apprentice, lecturing you that when you are young, you should be willing to work hard, and that salary and such are beside the point.

5. There are no benefits—basically only what is required by labor law. When he is in a good mood, he prepares gift boxes for the holidays (but they are always very small).

Pros

No advantages whatsoever

Cons

1. They hand you two pages of personnel information to fill out, with options that keep provoking job applicants, while the boss does not even glance at it and only focuses on their own phone.

2. The base salary is all there is, with no overtime pay, and you can forget about leaving work on time.

3. They keep criticizing graduates in the relevant field, saying they now prefer to hire people without a related degree. But even those without a related degree should not just think about how much salary they can get; they should think about how many skills they can learn and how much they can do for the company.

4. They relentlessly use workplace manipulation tactics on job applicants, spouting extremely vague platitudes. In short, they expect people to endure hardship as if it were beneficial, treating taking a loss as if it were gaining an advantage.

5. Whenever you ask a question related to salary or employment conditions, they will give you a long-winded lecture to put you in your place.

6. The boss just wants to put you down. Yet they were the ones who called to ask you to interview in the first place. Please, everyone in there, run while you can.

Pros

The interview experience was poor, so I cannot provide any suggestions regarding strengths.

Cons

1. Leave policy: Every other week off; required to work on typhoon days

2. Working hours: Overtime is mandatory, with no overtime pay

3. Salary: Relatively low (NT$22K–23K for new employees)

P.S. The overall impression of the interview process was extremely poor.
