Read the community guidelinesMore than ten years ago, I worked at this company in an administrative role for nearly five years. Later, due to health issues and constant morning sickness during pregnancy, my doctor advised me to rest and lie down more to protect the pregnancy. I had no choice but to temporarily set aside the work I loved. Then, in 2017, through a chance encounter and a friend’s introduction, I returned to work at the company. The company’s owner is actually very simple and straightforward, almost like a child; all their happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy are reflected on their face. That is not necessarily a bad thing—in fact, it makes them easy to get along with, without having to spend effort guessing what they are thinking. Another great thing is that all the colleagues I have encountered over the years have been as simple and down-to-earth as students, which makes working enjoyable. Returning here after so many years, I feel grateful for and cherish this work opportunity, and I wanted to share it with everyone!
As long as you take your work seriously and keep it in your heart, I believe that “where there’s a will, there’s a way,” so basically everything will be fine.
The psychological manipulation tactics of the person in charge, Ms. Chou, are second to none.
1. After directly infringing copyright, the publisher harassed the elderly parents at the collaborators’ hometowns across county and city boundaries.
2. Flooded all communication systems for several days (simultaneous bombardment via email, phone calls, and text messages).
3. Manipulated search results.
4. Sent “text squid warfare” emails.
* I am an author and illustrator who collaborated with Ho Ying Publishing.
* I handled the contract expiration entirely lawfully and, despite the infringement, voluntarily granted a 10-month-and-20-day grace period.
* I have never requested compensation, nor accepted any subsequent settlement proposal.
All of the statements above are supported by complete screenshots as evidence.
The entire chain of evidence of illegal acts by Ho Ying Cultural Enterprise Co., Ltd., from the period of collaboration through lawful contract termination, is backed up in multiple locations,
and entrusted to professionals for preservation.

The person handing over the work was really thorough, and the handover details were truly comprehensive. I’m really glad I had the chance to work with this colleague.
Thank you to the senior colleagues above for your comments. They prompted me to resign quickly after just two days of work. I’ll consider the salary a good deed donated to the company. Fortunately, I didn’t get deeply involved in the end.
Do not come here for an interview under any circumstances.
If you really must come here,
be sure to ask for the highest possible salary.
The boss is extremely selfish.
He loves to lie.
He loves to use people’s names without permission.
He really likes to attack people through messages.
You are not allowed to miss a single phone call.

................................................................
I worked at this company for four years. During my tenure, Designer Y had been there for more than seven years, Designer G had been there for four years (she joined the company at the same time as I did), my predecessor had worked at the company for nearly nine years, and Designer W had been there for more than three years before leaving after getting married and moving to New Taipei City. A year after she left, when she had a baby, the entire company signed a card and gave her an exquisite gift to congratulate her (paid for by the boss :)
I think this company must have something valuable about it to be able to attract people to stay for so long.
Since I usually have to pick up my child at six, I always leave work at almost exactly six. During my four years there, I almost never worked overtime. The only exception was on May 9, 2017, when I worked a few extra hours because an international literary master was giving a lecture on May 10. The lecture venue had just been renovated, and many areas needed to be arranged. I remember that after the master’s lecture on May 10, each of us received a large red envelope from the boss that day, worth more than ten times the regular overtime pay.
Whenever we held an event and heard audience members share their appreciation and praise for the company’s wonderful, idealistic books, I felt proud. This was one of the reasons I stayed for four years, because I really wanted to work with everyone on something meaningful and idealistic.
Too challenging
It lets you understand the harsh realities of society.
1. Maliciously withholds wages. The boss brags at the company that their child attended a certain American school in Hsinchu and is now studying in the United States... They are so wealthy, yet still maliciously exploit employees and refuse to pay them the tens of thousands of dollars they are owed! No overtime pay! It is truly outrageous! They drive a Lexus, show off about having a certain amount of U.S. dollars, say they bought a house, and boast about how many properties they own...
2. The boss bullies employees in the workplace and maliciously insults them in writing.
3. You are required to make children's books and videos too! No matter what you are doing, they keep rushing you: hurry, hurry, hurry!
4. They will not tell you the structure of the overall plan, but instead ask you to work from the details; everything is extremely urgent. If something goes wrong, they only blame the employees! They never blame themselves for inadequate supervision. The boss does not know how to schedule work... There is no plan!
4. Unreasonably forces employees to work overtime until midnight and refuses to let them leave.
5. Does not allow employees to take weekends off, makes them reschedule things they had originally planned, and forces them to work overtime.
6. The daily working hours are 9:00–18:00, but employees are required to work unpaid overtime until 19:00 every day (at around 17:50, they tell you that something must be finished that day).
7. Sends messages that appear to trick you into signing a wage-receipt form before agreeing to transfer your wages (once you sign it, you will not receive the money... ha).
8. Apparently may have impersonated the Labor Department by calling me and telling me to withdraw from the mediation committee meeting!
9. After using you, they simply tell you not to come in the next day! They make you leave for an unreasonable and bizarre reason!
10. Keeps humiliating you through messages and continues to harass you relentlessly by phone after work.
11. After telling you to leave, they do not allow you to enter the company to retrieve your personal belongings! They maliciously withhold your personal property!
12. The promised salary and benefits are all lies! Everything is decided by that boss! They order all employees around like dogs! Do they think that whoever pays is the boss? A textbook exploitative boss!
*You really should not go to this company! It will do absolutely nothing for your career! It will only undermine your confidence!*

During the interview, I told the person in charge that I still had classes and would have to wait a week before I could start work.
She told me to start working immediately, the day after tomorrow.
I had no choice but to withdraw from my classes early.
Then, early on the morning of my first day, she texted me saying they were no longer hiring and that I shouldn’t come in, adding that she was in Taipei for a meeting and couldn’t conveniently answer the phone.
……After seeing the previous reviews, should I say I’m lucky?
⒈ The colleagues are fairly nice.
⒉ If you really want to give it a try, you can ask for a higher salary, to avoid not getting paid after resigning.
1. Job duties differed from the interview: The actual work content was completely different from what was discussed during the interview. The position applied for was editor, but I was often asked to drive to transport goods, as well as weed and sweep. The work lacked continuity, there was no training or comprehensive handover, and the information provided by the person in charge was always very fragmented, so I had to piece it together myself.
2. There was no clear distinction between working and non-working hours. I often received messages and repeated calls after work, or in the early morning, mostly about trivial matters unrelated to work.
⒊ Last-minute overtime: I was often notified the day before—or in the early morning—that I had to arrive at the company at 6:30–7:00 a.m. the next day. No overtime pay was provided; time off could be taken instead (but during the time off, I would still receive incessant calls and messages from the person in charge).
⒋ You may be asked to pretend to be an employee who has already resigned and make strange requests to vendors.
⒌ Based on the experience of previous employees and myself, most people ended up having their wages withheld.

A very unique and interesting work experience
1. Colleagues are okay
2. The salary is acceptable (little did I know the price was as follows)
I left this company some time ago.
Recently, I heard that a friend had also stepped on a landmine, so I decided to come here and share this.
Job seekers, please make your judgment carefully.
1. Discrepancies between what was discussed in the interview and what happened after joining: During the interview, I was told there would be comprehensive on-the-job training. After joining, I was put to work immediately, without any reference materials. Yet upon resignation, I was asked to pay tens of thousands in compensation for “education and training fees.”
2. Overtime is often requested at very short notice, in the evenings or on weekends, and no overtime pay is provided regardless of how late one works.
3. Excessive demands regarding work tasks: There is constant revising, modifying, and rushing at all times.
4. Non-urgent work assigned during off-hours or holidays: Work tasks are sent through messaging apps at one or two in the morning, or phone calls are made repeatedly.
------------Most importantly-----------------
5. When I resigned at the time, my salary for the month in which I left was withheld.
6. During the negotiation process, they even made threatening remarks, saying they would disclose the departing employee’s stigma to future employers.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Finally, I can tell interested job seekers very clearly that this company did, in fact, withhold wages from six departing employees during the past year. I hope these recommendations, shared through real and painful experiences, can be helpful! Stay strong.
The colleagues are very nice.
The person in charge recruits using former employees on various websites. In addition, they often do not pay former employees their “salary for the month they leave.” (Example: They once asked someone to leave on the grounds that the employee had body odor, and did not pay the salary.)
All of the contracts they have employees sign appear to violate the Labor Standards Act. (Example: The Labor Standards Act stipulates that notice must be given X months before resignation, but the period they specify is always longer.) (Example 2: They use projects that have already ended to deceive people into taking jobs and signing contracts, and add a clause requiring employees who resign early to work a certain number of additional days for them.)
For the rest of the incidents, please see the compilation at the URL (these are the actual experiences of two employees who were willing to fight for their rights: http://paste.plurk.com/show/2446457/) (They still refused to admit in court that failing to pay wages was wrong, and constantly argued their case using various excuses.)
